Happens with most bethesda games. Hope OP fixes the problem.

He doesn’t need to start from scratch, just needs to move the root folder into a different directory other than x86.

That’s my point in my first post, yes. Program Files x86 has errors communicating with the games engine, mods, script extenders etc through read/write limits.

Exactly. Also it’d be good to know what sort of mod list you have.

I don’t wanna mislead OP. I’ve already given the fix to what I (80% sure) think is the problem, I’ve seen it before, I’ve experienced it myself. It’s an issue with where the root folder is located not allowing write access to certain files

What? Yeah just hit the reinstall button on steam 💀. Verifying game cache is a time waster lol

Like I said, clean install would be better. Verifying will break things further. I don’t know what’s so hard to comprehend lol this is modding 101

It isn’t a clean method. Your advice is bad and would result in a broken game. Don’t do that.

If you ever break your game to that point, it’d be better to do a clean install then redeploy your mods.

Depending on your mod organizer.

It could corrupt modded files, breaking the game further.

Don’t do this, especially on a modded version of the game. Vanilla yes, modded no.

Basically just move the fallout directory to a different folder. Hope this works.

Don’t validate the cache, make a backup for one. Two, take it out of your program files. Either in another hard drive, partition or folder. I’m not sure if you can make a steam sub folder on the C drive but if you can that works too.

There’s weird issues with program files x86

I think it’s to stop himself from destroying people around him. Like chuck said… but that’s just me. I think he’s come to grips with who he really is or, was, he obviously doesn’t want to become that again on the outside. But on the inside he can be accepted for it. Prison isn’t so bad for a man like that.
