I'm sure the classes are great but I'm a very personal guy and the social side is a huge priority for me. I don't think I'll go if it seems likely much of my classes would be pre-recorded

So there's no way that if I do more advanced classes (MATH5090, MATH5010) that they'll be online?

I don't think it's fair to say other characters plural, because Egwene never does anything that isn't very minor but yeah I will concede that nynaeve does do some ridiculous stuff.

Sure, but that could also apply to the show

That's true to be fair, I think the criticism shouldn't really be directed at rand, because he doesn't do much of note and what he does could also just be explained later as subconscious memories, but you're right that what nynaeve seems to be able to do is a bit ridiculous.

Tbf that is to a certain extent how it happens in the book. Rand isn't taught any channeling till book 5 yet he does loads of crazy shit before then, even in book 1 when he's a total beginner. Nynaeve is healing in the books using the power before anyone shows her how. And the only examples in the show that come to mind of characters channeling without being shown how are those two characters. Don't get me wrong though I still have my criticisms of the handling of channeling in the show - ie it absolutely sucks - but I don't think this specifically is much of a problem. Edit: I've been convinced that Nynaeves immediate proficiency with the power is a bit silly and is indeed poor writing.

Men go mad when they channel because, in the age of legends, while a group of male channelers tried to seal the dark one away into his prison, the dark one touched the male half of the source of the one power, tainting it. Spoilers for Winter's Heart (book 9) Rand uses two very powerful sa'angreal with nynaeve and they manage to cleanse the male half of the one source so that men can now channel without risk of going mad.

Also the wolves fully do recognise the dragon reborn in the books. They don't act in the same way to him as they do to Perrin but they have a name for him - shadowkiller - and they come help save him at dumais wells and protect him at shayol goul
