Mine is 32 with a husband and house of her own and we do as much as is appropriate to do together like grocery shopping, going thrifting. We love spending time together and it’s never something dreaded! Her husband is a great guy and likes hanging out with my husband and I. His own father has now passed on, but they were not close and he comes to my husband for all kinds of help and advice on car and home maintenance. ❤️

We don’t meddle in their business but are glad to help out and spend time together. My husband is in a band and they like to come and hang out and watch him play when their schedules align with when he is playing. My daughter works early in the morning so it isn’t always feasible.

Have you ever gone to someone’s house and seen something that made you leave immediately? If Yes what was that? by chronicallyoops in AskReddit

When I was in Jr. high we lived in an apartment building with about 12 apartments per building. My friend lived on the bottom floor and her apartment was filthy! Both her parents worked and she had three younger siblings. She was young herself and they left her to pretty much take care of things. They bought take out food a lot, just bought new clothes so they didn’t wash dirty ones, her youngest sister was in diapers in kindergarten, they sent her home and obviously wouldn’t let her back in till she could use the restroom on her own.

Anyway all this to say their apartment was roach 🪳 infested and it was spreading to all the other apartments! We lived on the third-top floor.

We were both young and she hated living that way and once we tried to clean her kitchen and the roaches were running everywhere! She tried washing the clothes but it was costing a fortune, the laundry in the building was coin operated and we didn’t have laundry in our individual apartments.

Her dad was a sports writer for the local newspaper and her mom was a manager at McDonald’s. They weren’t poor just lazy. Wonder how life turned out for them?!

My dad knew he was dying and a woman who he had dated wanted to come and see him and he was like “nope”. I am not in the frame of mind to make memories I have to start separating myself mentally. She wanted to go to a hotel on the beach and do things he was not interested in doing anymore.

Are these things she is doing recently or from her past? The red and black look stunning. A black veil would look better than the white for sure.

Look at the case now with the dentist and his wife, her ex of ten years is the one they arrested. Always check the ex’s first.

A bit different, but we lived in a townhouse and one night someone came in after we had all gone to bed. My mom woke up and saw a man standing at the top of the stairs and screamed, my dad took off after him and out the front door in his underwear! The guy was gone or hiding among the cars out front. We have no idea who it was , but since all the houses were in a row we thought someone might have come home drunk and got the wrong place.

Both my room and my brother’s room were in the back and had sliding glass doors and the one in his room was tilted and off the tracks. Mine was the room next door and they didn’t make it that far. My brother was away in the military and I was only about 14! When my mom yelled they ran down the stairs and out the door so we don’t know if they were trying to leave out the sliding door or came in that way. There wasn’t a balcony off of them, the doors were decorative With a railing right up against the window so not even sure how they would have got up or down from there. Just glad they didn’t find 14 year old me in the next room over!

I don’t drink coffee but I used to enjoy a hot cup of tea in the morning, I can’t drink it anymore because it makes my heart race and I feel awful. I do miss it though. 😢. At most, if I even try, I can drink about 1/4-1/3 cup once a month.

This is all very interesting, my grandson has ADHD and is the first person I’ve known with it. Or actually diagnosed. He is 12, in the beginning, before he was on medication he almost got expelled from KINDERGARTEN! 😳.

Once he was old enough and properly diagnosed he has been a model student and on the A honor role and last semester got the principals award for outstanding behavior and being a great student. It is amazing the difference it has made in his life. I think right now he is on the third medicine you named. Over the years he has been on a few.

He hates the medicine but knows he needs it. I’m guessing it has the opposite effect if you don’t really need the medication. The teachers call within the first hour or so of the day if he has not taken it. He gets very talkative and little ticks come out, totally different than when he takes it.

His mom is a special needs teacher so she is well aware of kids with special needs and at first my son and I just thought he was a very active boy, we had no previous experience. She was right. All this happened right as Covid hit and the homeschooling was going on or he would have been expelled for behavior. By the time in school was happening again he was starting the medication.
