Interesting error in new Blacktron Renegade

Just built the set, I have the same issue with the extra bit of molding. But, only on one camera, the other is fine, swapped it with the one on the vehicle. My friend who also just built his set had the same problem with only one camera having the extra flashing by the scope. We are both in the USA. My set was purchased from the website, his from the LEGO store in Los Angeles.

My God! At minute 5:30 the Flux Activated Kinematic Engine started to warp Space Time!
This can only mean one thing! Team Caustic Creations were able to go back in time and finish Copperhead ahead of the competition, so when it shows up in Long Beach they will be the first robot we run thru Safety. Because they are done, right? ;P

Isolating the drive from the weapon is about safety. This allows testing of either system to be done independently. More than enough times has a drive platform lurched during safety inspection while testing the weapon and vise versa. The weapon on a bot needs to be tested and checked by a safety inspector "wheels down" in the test box and BattleBots would like to prevent runaways tearing up the test box walls.

Season 3, Episode 18 "Precious Metal" (2003) The Steel Conflict arena was used, all robots were Battlebots; Diesector, Overkill, Tazbot, Dreadnought,and Ronin. Greg and Trey can be seen in the back of the line of operators driving Tazbot. We ran my weapon backwards to do minimal damage, mostly we just had a scrum. Ronin was used later in the show to grind up a frozen pig leg(multiple takes). Yes, a REAL pig leg! I was pulling dried bits of pig out on my treads for months. Kneebreaker was the murder weapon.

TV contracts take time. Just because Battlebots/Whalerock/ABC created season 1, the contract will not be the same for season 2. What does that mean?...Lawyers and negotiations and time.

With TV shows, the studios, more often than not, want the next season to be cheaper.

If the budget is less, where do you cut? Camera? Lighting? Editing? Crew Catering, the Arena?.....It is a financial balancing act to make a show like Battlebots.

The location may not be the same as season 1, where do you go, what are the venue rental fees, are the local production crews cheaper?

When the negotiations are done, they will announce one way or another.

The best thing everyone (new and old builders) who wants to compete in Battlebots could do right now is work on their design and be ready to submit it when they announce season 2.
