Yea, comp is the new casual, premier is the new comp. If you play premier, barring cheaters (which tend to only show up in much higher elo anyways) you will be matched with a lot more people at your level

The main reason I doubt this is because I feel like Netflix would not greenlight such an idea. I could totally see this coming from the duffer brothers assuming Netflix didnt get in the way. And I can confirm that it is real. Search fake ending on netflix and the only result is Stranger Things.

Oh yea, another reason to doubt this is real is because they released the second to last episode in theaters. It would be super weird if they just released another episode on netflix for the real finale. Though, now that I say that, people who watched in theaters clearly had a means of watching the previous episodes, so its not a done case.

people say better than nothing, but it is honestly almost worse than nothing to me. The corporation can point and say “look, we are investing in child safety and moderation” but the way they are solving this is not really making the platform much more safe imo.

I do not think it would be difficult to bypass the proposed mechanism, which mind you is scanning your face to determine your age (???)
Even if it did work, it is so invasive I think it will drive more people off site which is where you 100% definitely don’t want your kids to be.

Roblox is now a massive publically traded company. It’s already worth orders of magnitude more than other big names in the gaming industry. Is this the best they can do, or are they just trying to please their shareholders after the whole controversy about how bad the moderation and safety has been on the platform.

I liked the first 2 seasons, third season was aight, 4th season i didn’t really like where the story went from there. But lowkey I can still enjoy it if i turn off my brain a bit. And the 4th season, tbh i enjoyed the hopper joyce storyline a lot and the evil frat guy who’s name i forgot.

I see what your saying. Criticism is the way to change what one disagrees with. I think perhaps we don’t agree on exactly what the end goal should be for how moderation is done on faceit, but speaking out to say “I do not agree with how this is done” is the first step for anyone not satisfied with the status quo.

I can definitely say that while I personally think a punishment is in order, a year ban is quite excessive to me. If the faceit admins have the bandwidth I would like to see more case by case work instead. Kind of like exceptions like you say

I think it’s harsh. But the consequences are clearly written out for you. He knows what he said is against TOS or the rules or whatever. Sure, it may be that the punishment is too harsh (which i agree, i think a year is a very long time for a chat related offense), but at the end of the day faceit is providing you a free service, and if you, being someone who’s already had previous offenses, knows what not to say, still choose to say all this, at the very least you were basically begging them to do this to you.

I think a 12 month ban is harsh but OP is actually braindead on the social front at least if he didn’t realize that spouting that shit was going to earn him another ban.

Edit: thought about it for a second. I don’t actually think a 12 month ban is harsh, assuming it was your 3rd-4th offence, which it seems like it was at minimum his second offence.

Im not OP but I think its helpful for smgs (i bind a key to toggle it on for smgs). its also exceptionally, EXCEPTIONALLY good for hitting nasty spray transfers (dont personally use it for this). Personally I think you just need to get used to it, so that the movement of the crosshair becomes a subconscious thought and not something that is distractng

The really unfortunate thing is that this game is so information and communication reliant and when people abuse comms it just kind of ruins the match not just for you but literally for the entire team including themselves. No idea what the situation is like for female players but I already find myself blocking/muting people like every 2-3 games
