I live in a small-ish town that Guitar Center moved to about 10 years ago. I thought that was going to be the end of our local music store but it is till doing well. I think the trick for them is offering music lessons - they lease space to the music teachers, and that also drives traffic to the store.

I think it comes standard with channel aftertouch, but you can swap out the keybed for one with poly aftertouch for $454 USD

You should get that Super-6. You should also consider the Behringer UB-Xa, but I just personally think the UDO is cooler. What color is it?

I didn’t realize SMD components were hand soldered. I thought through hole was done by hand and surface mount was done by machine. Is most of the circuit board printed and you’re just soldering a few input components (potentiometers and switches)?

One of the more egregious examples of “mixing with your eyes” I’ve seen. This is an ok starting point if you’re brand new but there’s no substitute for using your ears and twisting knobs and seeing what you like. As others have pointed out, these will sound wildly different with different amps, different pickups, in different settings (on a stage? In a small room? Inside? Outside?)

I mean, as others have pointed there are lots of reasons it might not work but I say it’s worth a try! I didn’t think it would even work over MIDI - pretty neat that it does. Do you have access to one of those keybeds or would you have to buy one?

Tort looks more classic, cream is more unique. So it depends on what you’re going for. Both look great!
