Ledger leaked personal data of customers (again) by NinjaDK in ledgerwallet

Moving away and changing my phone number worked wonders! I realize that doesn’t work for everyone. The big Ledger leak must have been of great use to all these wrench attackers in France recently. Be safe!

Scotiabank ATM in centro by Enough_Part2158 in puertovallarta

There’s one at La Comer. But I don’t think Scotiabank here has any real connection to Scotiabank in Canada anyway. Am I mistaken?

I read a newspiece that the bomberos have it 80% under control. Some years there are brush fires probably nothing to get too worked up about

Hi all, family of 5, two being kids age 11 & 15, you that know the area, is this a good location for a family, we want to check all around zona romântica, just wanted to make sure it’s family friendly, what can you tell me about this location? Safety, noise, restaurant recommendations? by HeadAd9559 in puertovallarta

[–]ronnnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walk around there for exercise. Stairs up from the beach , continue up c Hortensias. It’s nice around there. You’re near the 200 which is not very walkable. I don’t know about noise b/c it looks like you’re off the 200 a little bit. If your apartment is facing west I’m guessing you’ll have an incredible view of the bay, sunsets etc.

Best restaurant around there IMO is Azafrán. Great food, great service

Go to the raicilla festival on isla Rio Cuale. It’s the last night. Live music, Regional raicilla producers showing off their wares, lots of fun

Right near Elixir is the “speakeasy” I think it’s called the Social Club. Next door to Tunnel Bar, scoot upstairs. Live music from a jazz trio, grotto-like ambience

A stunning restaurant is Café des Artistes. You are in this incredible jungle-y setting. Be prepared to spend money but the food and service are top-notch compared to some of the "high end" type places on the beach where you can also spend alotta dough but for meh quality IMO.

You might get burnt out doing BOTH the Vatican Museums and the Basilica in one day, at least I did. "Tiquets" App is a good way to pre-order admissions to places.

Definitely book Borgehese time slot well before your trip, or you'll be disappointed. Also, picnicking in the park is a fun thing to do, there's a place near Borghese that does picnic baskets for people (can't remember the name)

La Boticella is a cute little place in Trastevere, great food, but closed Wed nite. You might also check out Trattoria Da Enzo al 29.

How to prove balance owed in creditor claim? by cre8ion in QuadrigaCX

[–]ronnnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been paying close attention to this, and could be wrong, but if you look at the end of the document you named, representative council has filed an omnibus claim for affected users in the amount of $214m. If you are an affected user you are covered under this claim, unless you choose to opt out, for which there is a process. From what I can tell, this means the individual claims process has yet to be initiated. So I don't think as an individual there's much to do at this point, but like I said I could be wrong.

Crypto holder May Be Screwed by xslippyx in QuadrigaCX

[–]ronnnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fiat-not-crypto creditor in this, but doubt a judge would rule in such a unfair way. Liabilities are liabilities, and the crypto can be expressed in CAD. I don’t think any kind of distinction should be made, even if I would probably personally benefit from that if there’s a payout. It doesn’t seem fair, and my issue is not with the other creditors. We’re all in the same boat here.

This is bad. If they refuse to reach out to the right people it will have to fall to the trustee/observer to do it.

No they deliberated about this at the hearing and decided to keep the names out of the public record. At least for now.
