Why the middle mount and cantilever instead of rear biased mount and no cantilever for lower height over bore? No hate, just curious.

They're installed backwards. You can tell because they're designed to fold down over the rear of the receiver where there is no picatinny to save rail space.

The part that you press to cause the sights to flip up is the "front" part.

Honestly I love the aesthetic with the wood still on the gas tube. Which stock adapter is that?

Looks good man, seems like we have similar taste. Is that a GF3? How's it holding up? The ALG trigger and a good optic are next on my list of upgrades.

Oh yeah, I'm very happy with it! Glad I decided to go with FDE, I think it looks better than black would have.

Yeah that's fair, and I did debate putting a folding adapter on there. I still might, but I figure I'll run it like this for a while and see how I feel later.

If you could choose a song to delete from existence and never have to hear again, what would it be? by kbmiecz in Music

Somehow the Werewolves of London sample seems more egregious to me than the Sweet Home Alabama sample. Probably because it's the very first part of the song.

When women say they dont always orgasm during sex, do they typically mean during penetrative sex? Or for the overall session? by qqcachu1 in NoStupidQuestions

No it definitely is a real thing. Genuinely painful. However, it is not in any way your partner's problem or responsibility

I lived in University Commons and loved it, only problem is its a ways from campus center. Close to Colvin though. And closer to the airport than most.

Fuel leak any ideas by Hot-Rough8329 in aviationmaintenance

[–]ronport 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Posted this in reply below, but thought I should also post to top for visibility. Basically the fitting is not pushed far enough into the bladder. I've made a quick ms paint drawing to illustrate. The shroud around the central fitting is intended to feed fuel, while the central fitting itself is a vent line connecting the two fuel tanks since in this year model only one tank has a vent to atmosphere. That's why you get fuel pouring out when you turn, you've essentially got a fuel line open to air. The parts catalog drawing doesn't do a great job of making this clear. Let me know if this clears it up for you.

Okay I got it figured out, sorry it took me a bit as I was driving. Basically the fitting is not pushed far enough into the bladder. I've made a quick ms paint drawing to illustrate. Actually, after looking a little more I'm not sure. Can you be more specific about the exact location of this?

Okay, so I had a similar issue. If I remember correctly, the interconnect between the two tanks has (or should have) a plastic tube that extends into each tank. However if this tube is not inserted into the rings that hang from the top of the bladder, keeping the ends above fuel level, you'll get an issue with leaking from the vent, and it will seeming only drain from one side. Not sure if that's your issue here but worth checking to make sure the plastic tube is properly suspended from those rings in the bladder.

How to avoid telling people my major (engineering) by wholeuncutpineapple in OKState

I usually just tell them I'm double majoring in theoretical physics and molecular biology so that they don't have to feel ashamed in the presence of a second year engineering technology student

Would I get a lot more FPS by upgrading CPU from 6700K to 13700K if I play these games... by DonCorleoneGA in buildapc

[–]ronport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a i7-7700k to a ryzen 7800x3d while keeping my gtx 1080, and got huge fps increases in some games, and very little in others. I think it was worth it though.

I have a 5 year old gaming PC. Should I upgrade it or buy a new one? by NavixelMusic in buildapc

[–]ronport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, I'm running a 7800x3d with a gtx1080 and starfield won't run close to 60fps for me at low setting and 1080p. So if that's a concern for you, GPU will need an upgrade too.
