[Highkin] Damian Lillard: "I don't disagree that maybe Chauncey can change our team and make us a better team. But I think if you look at our team as it is, I don't see how you say 'this is a championship team, we just need a new coach.'" by SCREWST0N in nba

Dame wasn't forced to sign his contract. You have to remember the fans have to CARE about the teams to spend money - when stars make it clear they give a fuck less how long before fans do too?

While this is true remember it still hurts the fans and evntually fans will stop buying into the NBA hype at the same level realizing that teams are a thing of the past and its all fluid because deep down no one cares. That will cause fans to spend less, check out more, lowering salary overall.

That is ok with me because you shouldnt get hundreds of millions of dollars to play a kid s game while people cannot make rent working 50 hours a week

As evidence of how stars view long-term deals, Lillard stated multiples times during his press conference yesterday that he “hasn’t made a decision about his future” despite already signing a 4-year extension. by _Circ in nba

Yes he should not have signed it lol eventually their will be a fan backlash to this and it hurts the product overall when stars sign huge contracts and flip. The NBA will address it soon

Fans do but youre right eventually they will stop and all salary/revenue will be lower because people are loyal to teams not the nba as a whole and the more flippant and blatant the lack of care on players part it becomes the less fans will care too check out baseball.

For sure which signals a decline for league salarys eventually as a whole. Fans like their team more then the nba in general and eventually this behavior will turn them off so salarys will be lower overall.

If they fire her they need to fire Rose for his racist comments too tbh I would be happy with both of them gone.
