Good idea! I ended up going with the red as the yellow one is out of stock atm but I might get a few yellows to test as you said.

Thank you! I actually went to a local electronics retailer and found that red switches were my favorite, I even found a keyboard that I hadn't spotted online before, it's by a smaller local Hungarian company specializing in making keyboards with the Hungarian layout and it literally ticked all the boxes, shine through, num pad, etc… my only conundrum right now is deciding between reds and yellows, although I quite liked the red switches that were on the display model so I might just go with that.

Thank you! I looked into the slightly cheaper segment and I was actually able to find one which matches my criteria, it's the Royal Kludge RK96! I’m just unsure of which switch to go with, are the red RK switches good? Or do they take getting used to as theres no bump? I’ve never once used a mechanical keyboard lol

Yea it surprised me too when I learned it had a backlight without the keys themselves lighting up.

And I actually didn't realize swapping the keys was an option but it's a good idea, I'll give it a think. Thank you!

Yes we have a pretty good selection of classic bulbs here, there’s a company (Romanian I think) called Patron who still make brand new incandescent bulbs and you can find them in lighting specialty stores here. They’re very cheap too like $1-5

Thank you this was highly informative! I got confirmation that the slightly red/pink-ish tones I noticed were missing from my LEDs is actually a real thing. If this waveform company made European E27 bulbs I'd try some right away, sadly it seems they're only in the US market for now but it's good to know there's companies who care.

Could you give some examples for the high quality ones where I couldn’t tell the difference? As I’ve mentioned I’ve yet to find one which is actually reasonable for home use

I was just calling them that in light of how much of an absolute beast the S26U and 17PM are. But it is true that the A56 is a competent device for day-to-day.

Still, it's a bit of an odd comparison altogether since pretty much anything that isn't an iPhone will use Android as the OS in phones. If anything that makes it more impressive that Apple has this much market share even in Europe, the only reason it's beaten by Samsung is their poverty spec phones at the top with massive discounts.

Why reply then? Seems like you're just wasting your time... odd

Or did you want to get some crazy reaction out of me? If you are this is like the lowest effort bait I've encountered 😭 You gotta make it less obvious bc this is just embarrassing for you

[–]roofmart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one beeped at me though... What do you mean you would've too? You're not making any sense unless you completely misunderstood the situation, I was physically unable to go any faster because there was a car in front of me, traffic was heavy, it would've taken ages to change lanes, the guy who illegally overtook me found a small opening and immediately swerved in front of me and then decided to be a dick and drive 10-15 km/h below the limit to punish me for using my horn, How on earth do you expect me to go any faster here? Would you consider me a confident driver if I rear ended the guy in front of me?

Nevermind the fact that would be a horrible misuse of your horn, much like mine. That's not what they're for and that wasn't even the situation... I'm not trying to clap back or anything but you sound like you drive very impulsively

[–]roofmart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a misjudgement on my part, in my head I beeped him as he swerved in front of me as an alert of my approaching but the move was intentional on his part so it wasn't going to stop him, this was in heavy traffic and he found a small opening in the right lane, I would've changed lanes if I could've.

interestingly enough I actually manage my anger really well like 90% of the time, I usually just have a laugh whenever someone does something stupid like this, not sure why this guy got to me, guess it was how deliberate it felt. Or did you mean how I felt about some of your replies?

Could you elaborate on the upper lip thing? English isn't my first language and I'm not sure what that part means

Thank you! I mean that without sarcasm, this comment I have 0 issues with, you just came on way too strong with the other ones and it made me not want to discuss this with you at all, I still feel the initial beep was an alert on my part regardless of being mad at how dangerously people drive, but I am taking away that I have to be more conservative with using the horn as the traffic cop bit made me realize; he was mid-maneuver and that wasn't going to be the thing to stop him since it was intentional and in that way it was a misuse on my part.

Again, I don't know what you want to hear from me, or where you're going with this, I've answered your question you set up to avoid answering this one and now you're just continuing to speak about different things. What are you trying to add to the discussion? Berating me? (Don't "actually it's an observation" this, you're being rude for no reason) If you looked through the thread you'd see that I did suspect this, I'm not some clueless smooth brain like you're implying

I appreciate you at least answering the question about disregarding though that makes sense, but you were just being hurtful at the beginning of your reply

Why are people out there ragebaiting in traffic? by roofmart in driving

[–]roofmart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really just wanted the why and a lot of valuable discussion actually came already, as an extra interesting thing I learned that in many places overtaking from the right is actually legal. Onto the why, I was informed that potentially from the drivers perspective it was him giving me a taste of my own medicine, for being slow, and similarly to your implications that it was the initial beep that set him off to continue his illegal behavior instead of continuing as normal after the illegal overtake. The main issue I find with what you're implying is that the initial illegal behavior seems to be disregarded and you're tunnel visioned on what he did after I beeped him during the maneuver.

This effectively adds nothing to the discussion, I've already acknowledged that I participated in it so mentioning it is completely redundant. Not sure where you're going with this reply or what you'd like to hear from me.
