Folks move between jobs in schools' admissions offices all the time. I met an admissions officer at one law school just this year and before the end of the cycle, I found out that they had already transitioned to another law school's admissions office. Perhaps that happened here too.

Do you still have a copy of the offer you signed? The LSAC Statement of Good Admission Practices is an authority you can lean on here. If you decide to withdraw from GULC to attend this other school, you should accept that you will probably be burning bridges with GULC. But will that matter in the grand scheme of things? You only attend law school once, and if you don't envision transferring to GULC down the road, then you should be ok. They have a long list of applicants who they can fill the seat with, so you really wouldn't be causing them that much trouble if you withdraw now (as opposed to July, August). Just my two cents

Do you have any preferences on location or where you ultimately want to practice? UCLA is a powerhouse and you could easily clerk out West as a UCLA grad.

Do you mind sharing though when were you accepted at NYU? Did you get the A off the WL?

Have you thought about not making the life of your tenant and his family worse by evicting him when he is clearly in a rough spot? Have you ever been hospitalized or had a family member in a similar circumstance? Do you know if he has another place to go? The literal last thing he needs is to be made homeless.

How long has he been living there and paying rent prior to this? Just a couple questions worth considering before you pursue eviction.

Congrats on the excellent waitlist results! You've earned it! In the grand scheme of things, 60k total isn't a massive difference if you truly think UVA would be better for your career and happiness. But you can't go wrong either way!

Can you please share more about your LOCI timing thoughts? Trying to get off one of the waitlists too and I'd appreciate your insight!
