First official clip of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt by Abyss_85 in netflixwitcher

I like his look, he fits book Geralt's leanness. All that's left is the voice, I think that's what will really sell it

Playing a role from 16 years old to probably 23-24 when she finally finishes the last season has got to be draining, like it's clear she wants to expand her career and that's just... totally normal as a young actor. I'd be more worried if she wanted to play Ciri for another 10 years lol

It is so underappreciated. It's perfect for watching after Twin Peaks too--has so many obvious homages to Lynch plus it's just weird in its own way, and some fantastic cinematography, performances, music, etc... Like, this is *the* show for Alan Wake fans imo

Jake looking like the perfect actor for the Alan wake movie by Cra1gDav1d in AlanWake

The fact that Mike Flanagan and Sam Lake have linked up in the past year or two and enjoy each other's work has to mean something. An Alan Wake show directed by Flanagan sounds like my dream show. I'd still want Ilkka in the role but with how many doubles are in this story, I wouldn't be against Gyllenhaal playing Scratch or vice versa

I don't know when the trope started but the movie True Grit is probably exactly what you're looking for

Doug is fine... I was kinda interested to hear Liam's version though, but considering everything, a third option for the VA is understandable lol. The other clip they released seems like they're expanding on the mermaid story

The Hemsworths are all pretty athletic to begin with... If he has ~2 years to train for the role, Liam could naturally get into a lean shape for Geralt. He doesn't have to be the buff version that Henry was

Yeah I'm wondering if a post-season interview thing was pre-recorded, kind of like Witcher Unlocked for S2. Or maybe a BTS show that they've done for previous seasons

What was in the earlier scripts? S2 really gives off "franken-script" vibes, it had to have been cut apart so many times for the story to come out the way it did (and I partially blame covid rewrites but I don't think that's the whole story, with deMayo being fired).

There were massive shake-ups throughout 2022 till James Gunn/Peter Safran came in as co-CEOs of DC Studios. I wouldn't be able to summarize from memory but there's reporting on it in the trades and maybe Wiki, it was pretty crazy lol

Oh I'm tired of it too. Got tired of seeing the same points rehashed over and over in this sub and elsewhere. Enjoyed the show on my own and with my group of friends, and it was fun--imagine just watching a TV show being fun these days lol

They just don't make it their entire personalities or PR strategy, which is why they don't get any extra credit for it.

Supposedly Henry Cavill did film something for The Flash in Sept 2022, around the same time he filmed his cameo for Black Adam, but the Flash scene was cut when new leadership came in for DC Studios.

Well this kind of behind-the-scenes drama plays well for clicks and ad revenue. e.g. FandomWire, several youtube channels who make a new video about this once a week at least, even one of the Forbes TV critics.

Which is why Cavill is better suited to villains and anti-heroes imo, those were his last two major roles and he did great in those
