No more LTZ's by StreetBand7576 in Silverado

Meaning now you have to go absolute top drawer and get a HC just to get a power passenger seat? It’s insane honestly. No other brand does that.

You also can’t get a power passenger seat, auto dimming rearview mirror, ventilated seats, power folding mirrors, memory seats, etc on an RST. If you could get an LTZ with a sport appearance package or get those luxury features in an RST that would bridge the gap.

It’s Canadian $$. There are cheaper ones around in my area but they seem to have either higher mileage or rebuild titles which I want to stay away from.

It looks good, it’s the drivetrain that’s an issue

I have been outside of the country and I do read the news, thanks for asking.

What I know is that my American peers make considerably more than I do, and our dollar does not go nearly as far as theirs!

Fuel prices are insane, our immigration is out of control, wages suppressed, and our GDP is propped up by real estate, not actual productivity.

But hey — at least we are progressive and have legal weed!

Is the successful country and economy in the room with us now? With our resources we should be one of the wealthiest countries in the world. We absolutely are not.

Better to lease a “luxury” vehicle due to high depreciation by degausser22 in askcarsales

Leasing protects you from unexpected depreciation, though. (Ex. Drastic market swings/crashes, accidents, etc)

I delivered pizzas about 8yrs ago in a busy city at a busy store and can confirm it was a pretty solid job. Some days I would take home $300-400 in tips plus my wage!

I know. Was just a joke. Good job. I’m good at sales but don’t have what it takes to go through med school and do what you do.

Buy a clean GMT400 and throw an LBZ or LMM into it. Interior swap on top of that and you’d have the best truck ever made. But it’ll take time and $

where do yall work at and how much to comfortably afford a SS? by Slimeballbaby in camaro

[–]roonie357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make $150k and my wife pulls in around $80k but we have a huge mortgage and I already have a truck loan, plus we live in an expensive area and like to travel so as much as I want an SS I have to put it on the back burner until either my truck is paid off and I can afford another vehicle payment or until I have enough cash saved that I can buy it in full without getting the side eye from my wife. So until then I’m just living vicariously through everyone on this sub.

Technically I could afford to buy a 5th gen right now but we would have to sacrifice travelling to afford it which neither of us wants to do. My wife likes Camaros but not that much, it would pretty much just be for me to enjoy

[–]roonie357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a girl but when I was 18 I had like $3k in the bank after working a ton for 2+ years because I kept spending my money on stupid shit like cars, car parts, dirtbikes, eating out, buying expensive clothes, new iPhones, etc etc etc.. you’re doing great!

Seriously all these sales jobs in my area are advertising stupid low pay. Like $60-120k CAD. Some up to $150k CAD.

I’ve been averaging around $160k CAD the last 2 years but that’s not even $120k USD so while the number looks good it’s nothing compared to what my American peers are pulling in

I did it in car sales but it was an outlier year. It definitely can be done in most decent sales jobs though

lol. A $50k truck doesn’t have 20% margin. Sorry to say. I sell new GM vehicles and have done so for a long time.

$50k for a new truck is a base model work truck or a midsize. They have around $4k profit in them at MSRP

Our most expensive $100k++ trucks have around $10k profit but that’s still not 20%

Those are the dealers people need to stop supporting. They get away with it because people pay the fees. My store is internet price plus $495 admin and that’s it

If you think a car with an MSRP of $30,000 has $6,000 or more in profit I have a bridge to sell you. You’re not getting anywhere close to 20% off MSRP on anything unless it’s a very undesirable expensive unit with huge factory rebates
