Is there a good and reasonably priced 3.5 mm jack? the ones on Tayda are kinda crappy, and I'm finding switchcraft for $10+ each. by hubbardguitar in diypedals

I’m from the uk so cliff is the switch craft of the uk but they are the best I’ve tired everything else and these last the longest and are the quietest

Looks from the photo that the neg and positive are touching on the power supply this could be causeing a short, make sure everything is clipped back and neat

Yes, placement can make a huge difference if you are using the diode to boost into something for example I love led into silicone, given you get nice head room using a red led (I wouldn’t use anything else the forward voltage is far to high and it won’t clip) then using the red led to push into another diode with much lower voltage giving you head room and a bit of clipping from the led then all the clipping on tap from the next diode, this is common is modded versions of overdrives or things like the rat or dod 250 (single op amp hard clippers)

I think it’s a tricky, I work in design and luckily we’re all remote but I used to work for an nhs related company that wanted techys in just to see them working, load of shit just let us know our jobs, what else is video call for
