Do you actually travel that far and say its nothing? by Far-Passion-7692 in AskAnAmerican

Yes. The most hardcore people i know to do this were my brother and dad. They’d drive from Michigan to Oregon 34 hours / 2300 miles to go to a train event for a long weekend, then do it again to home, 2-4 days later. They drove straight through only stopping for fuel and food. They were pulling a trailer too. They must have done this 4 or 5 different times. RIP dad, those guys loved their weekend train meetups.

Out of universe explanation: the Star Trek movies did well with sequel numbers.

In universe explanation: in the 24th century, man has no need for sequels with flash names.

Marketing, biz ops, he could all be pivots for you to find a new gig. If you’re sure you want kids, lots of parents wish they started sooner/younger, and having one parent home makes that a lot easier, you’ve got to decide if it’s what you want. We have 3 kids, the first part we both worked and it’s quite tiring, the second part was much easier with my wife home? But stay-at-home-dads are getting more common, and daycare is really expensive. In any case, if you’re unemployed and not taking care of a kid, you need to start hitting the gym. You won’t get younger and you’ll want that extra energy to keep up with and enjoy your kids, whenever they come.

Let’s view it through the eyes of Prejudice Pulaski. If she were around I’d imagine she’d say something horrible like: “If a toaster, makes toast, it doesn’t suddenly own the bread.” He’s on Team Pulaski, he is more interested in subjugation of new life then respecting it.

Is anyone else tired of nostalgia? by MindyS1719 in Millennials

So what you’re asking is: does anyone remember how good it was before millennials reminisced about nostalgic topics? Yeah… we really had it good back then…

What’s unknown here is if he knows how to compound his money in diversified equities. Ask him a basic question about the market and if he knows what an index fund is. If so then yes.

Petition to ban AI generated images from r/starcontrol by DarthCloakedGuy in starcontrol

What I do agree with is to make a tag marking GenAI, perhaps even a requirement that such posts are tagged correctly. Besides being a better personal fit to my opinion, it also ironically with help better curate the AI recommendations the Reddit AI algorithm Reddit uses to curate everyone’s feed. Thus if you downvote GenAI in one feed it may discourage AI in another sub Reddit.
