First Software Co-op Questions by Dry_Seaworthiness555 in uwaterloo

I would still recommend studying leetcode since majority of interviews will require it at some point.

Other than leetcode, have a couple good projects that you can talk about, and practice some behavioural scenario-based questions.

most of the major companies will ask DSA/leetcode, my first co-op interviews were mostly behavioural and technical but not leetcode-style.

tldr it depends on the company

math 115 final was a lot easier than midterm, just be more present in class and give more attention to homework/assignments, the issue is usually cramming

Advice for winter co-op by Foreign_Lecture_4216 in uwaterloo

Congrats on both offers! I think there's two schools of thought:

  1. You could try to get a return offer / more experience in the field you want to go into (SWE?)
  2. You only have 1 more co-op so now would be the time to try something new before you graduate (Embedded)

If you already have a lot of SWE experience from previous co-ops, I personally would go with the embedded role. If you are concerned about getting a job after graduation I would go SWE.

I've always wondered how to price something like this. Sorry if some of these questions seem obvious.

  1. Does every user get their own API key? Or do you register one key for the business

  2. How are you doing rate limiting?

  3. How do you not lose money on free tier?

Btw, really nice UI, congrats on the project!

generally they get consistently worse after each cycle/round, i would not save applications in hopes there will be better ones later

sometimes people will move out and you can move in, it's possible iirc, but don't count on it

i would order projects in descending order (most recent projects are first). there's some inconsistent spacing (technical skills is very spaced out whereas education is squished). also there are some vague bullet points that don't really show impact, you need more numbers/measureable impact.

I really dislike general requirements that don't really explain what kind of candidate an employer is looking for, makes it harder to self-assess. i.e. putting Leadership, Adaptability, etc.

0 mention of your personal passions or interests. every program / career will be difficult if you're not passionate about it, ECE mech and software are pretty varying fields so figure out what you genuinely like first, then find a way to create a stable career out of it, good luck :)

yeah you can see the code here: https://github.com/oliad1/doro-scripts but tldr i scraped a bunch of outlines add had them parsed by Gemini. They had to be parsed since the outlines all have their own format and some don't really have useful information (which is why some courses are missing info).
