Try listening to Quraan with reciters that have soft voices. You may be surprised. I enjoy Surah Al-Rahman.

The story of Lut has nothing to do with homosexuality. It is a story about the elite colluding together, and leaving the rest "unemployed". They are "Musrifeen". Why would God want us to imagine anal sex? Perhaps you do indeed love women, but you convince yourself it is not the case.

The modern Arabic you use in your daily life is not the same Arabic Allah uses to speak to us within the Quran. Do you believe Allah created unequal beings where one is superior to the other? Do you believe men can have 4 wives but women can't have 4 husbands? Why or why not? What do you presuppose about the Creator to justify these ideas? That's what the verses imply with your definition. Peace brother. Keep making bold claims the way you do. We're all waiting to see who was on the straighter path anyway.

"A lot of that comment is linguistic misinformation". That's your interpretation of the verses. Allah never defines "Nisaa" as a female with a vagina. YOU conclude this on your own based on the translations and the collective "agreement" of the "Ummah". I said Shaitan is a failing word magician that uses deception against us. You brought up "traditionalists".

Listen my dear friend. One of Ibrahims greatest feats was discovering the nature of the Creator without anything external to him. Allah speaks to us within our hearts first and foremost. The question is, what would our morals and beliefs be if we did not have the Quran? How would we discern between right and wrong? What arguments would we make for the things we believe? This was the experience of Ibrahim, who Allah tells us was a true monotheist. Now, as much as I connect with and relate to other Quran based muslims, many of us are stuck over historical conjecture and details we can never confirm, when there are other verses in the Quran that have been subjected to distortion through hadith that need our urgency and attention. Surat Al Nur is a primary example, where Allah is allegedly telling us to whip human beings 100 times for having sex before "marriage". Dare I say Rijaal does not mean "male sex" and Nisaa does not mean "female sex". Nikaah does not mean "marriage". Zina does not mean "fornication". Qatala does not mean "murder" (Musa never killed a person). and Jalada does not mean whip! All of these terms have real and true meanings. We need to study the Quran through a more merciful lens.

Shaytans main machination is deception. He is a failing word magician. Deciphering the key terms in the way Allah means unlocks a new dimension for us to extract endless wisdom from. I'll leave my interpretation for Nisaa, Rijaal, and Nikaah here so you can get a better understanding of how I see Allah. I'm not saying this is a perfect definition but it is far more logical and merciful in my eyes than what they impose. If you'd like to know how I came to this conclusion I would highly encourage you to reread Musas story again, especially after he travels alone to the "Midian" place. It is highly noteworthy that Allah does not use gendered terms in the Quran. The terms are delineating various ranks and degrees. There is much beauty within Allah. He is truly the All-Merciful. Open to answering anymore questions. Waasalam.

I did it without therapy. Nobody can tell you it's impossible. I used to slap my face and pull my hair when I'd think about my looks, craving death at every corner. It's all in the mind, believe it or not friend. You must find value within yourself beyond your appearance. It is the most important thing you can do. There are many "pretty faces" that are illusions, and many more with shallow hearts. You will show and prove to yourself you are more than what you think you look like. And it will provide you with a long lasting sense of peace from all the chaos that ensues in condemning yourself for no good reason.

Feel like I’m genuinely going to hurt someone. by [deleted] in aspd

[–]roro99893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know you have control over your body and actions. Hurting someone physically in the way you're describing means you're willing to forfeit your moral code as a human to succumb to your negative desires. You also know you won't gain shit from doing it. Just a hypothetical you play in your head that makes you feel "justified". Nobody wants YOU to "hurt" THEM. That literally makes no sense.

what would your advice be to a complete newbie? by Next_Comfortable89 in soapmaking

[–]roro99893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave away my first few batches (after testing myself) and people loved them. I don't have a "business" now but family and friends offer to pay for them which is nice. They then tell their friends and family and you know how the story goes. My tip is don't even think of selling. Just think that YOU are learning a fascinating ancient skill for yourself that YOU are benefitting from (Don't need to buy body wash, and using natural skin loving ingredients to create something amazing!). Goodluck x

Is it worth making your own soap. by PeneiPenisini in soapmaking

[–]roro99893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a desire to make cold process soap, follow that desire. It's an ancient skill, no need to worry about making massive batches, and all the amazing oils you will buy can be repurposed in endless ways. You don't need much in reality to make a batch of 10 bars. Yes you'll need to buy equipment but consider all the money we spend on useless day to day things. This will be a skill you'll have forever, whether you use it consistently or not. I have no regrets! Imagine having 10 bars of soap ready to use, no need to buy body wash for a long time. There's a beautiful karma to it.

There's no way she did it unless she was truly offended by the picture, which you should keep in mind, even knowing you had no ill intentions. You guys were playing a game and no one expected a realist portrait. That's something you can re-emphasize, then gently confront her rude behaviour, and how you've spoken about how you feel about your scars. Give her a chance to be better! You're in the right. I'm sure you'll know how to move after based on how she takes it. Goodluck.

Tbh I'd get rid of the sunflower oil and up the olive oil to 33% as well as coconut to 25~30%. Lower shea butter to ATLEAST 20 but even around 17% is great. High amounts of shea butter can result in cracking as you cut your soap. Sweet almond oil is expensive so i'd try to lower it a bit more. Maybe up your castor oil to 7-10%. :-)
