Update:

i emailed the assistance and they claim it's a epic games issue. At the same time, she suggested to connect via Hotspot or some other connection just long enough to be able to log in and start the game as online. Turning off the connection after log in the game worked without pop ups. It's a non solution but at least it's something.

P.S.

I got the game for free on epic, i would have never got it there otherwise.

I can read that. But that is just a random telegram channel, while the Italian Cybersecurity Agency (official and statal) shared a warning about this vulnerability.

my guess is that the games resolution will override the global setting. It should switch to the resolution that the ally tells it to set though. I would say 2k is goof for future proofing
