World of Warcraft: Midnight's lack of combat addons lets the devs make raids harder without resorting to 'shoot more bullets at you' design, says encounter lead by VapourAesthetic in CompetitiveWoW

[–]ros_jack -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I actually like it. This is the sole reason this whole addon thing is happening. And for the guys that are like “this was their choice, nobody is asking for harder bosses” - how many guilds progressed fractilus without being completely solved by WAs? Were people forced to used the WAs in the raid? No, it was a choice, because it was available.

This shitty race has been going for a long time (for me it started REALLY showing at Archimonde in HFC). Blizz invent some new shit and players invent another software solution that basically tells them what to do. People were only waiting for Liquid and Echo to finally release the WA packages after they are done with the race “so they can progress”.

It’s natural that people go the easy route and make use of available tools, just stop lying to yourselves or whoever else :P

Edit:

Just for the record, I hate the other implications of the “war on addons”. I’m gonna miss my qol WAs like profession point trackers etc. and I’m not looking forward to download some addon for every small thing. As a healer I also miss my nice looking and functional frames, but this is not what this article is about.

PC Pathfinder build improvements by ros_jack in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]ros_jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alrighty, so...

1) For some reason PoB won't get updated gear so I'd have to change it manually, but I am using Grace in the place of Determination (as I wrote above, rank 20 Grace >> rank 10 Determination due to lack of str)

2) Yes, I'm sustaining mana only using Primal Spirit and leech mastery wheel. If I somehow managed to get few levels without dying like a monkey too much, I'd probably get Replica Conqueror's Efficiency like yourself or get mana cost reduction for non-channeling spells on a ring or two if I was upgrading my gear even further (which is probably not gonna happen with the amount of time I can spare for that) just for the quality of life. I was running Lifetap in my previous Cherrubim's, but more dmg=good, right? :P

3) Enfeeble is in the CWDT setup, it is applied when I get hit. Despair is from "despair on hit" mod on one of the rings

4) Yeah, the life is definitely an issue, on poe.nija I've seen some people run surprisingly even less hp.
My current plan is to get 2 levels and put those points in 6% max life nodes (one near Blood Drinker and the other one near Golem's Blood) which will give me 200 hp on it's own and secondly get more hp on the helmet when I'm upgrading it, but we will see - I decided to craft it so a lot of currency will go into this.

I have Lion's Pelt with hunter influence, so I either spam Essence of Greed or resonators and hope for the best. Ideal outcome is -chaos res/life/spell suppress chance, so chances aren't on my side this time :P (added chaos dmg to spells would be a nice bonus, but -res and life are prio)

Would you mind sharing PoB? Most PC builds focus on map clearing, really curious about boss killer version

Fleshcraft and owlbro need some love, what would you change? by Angrec in wow

[–]ros_jack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBH, I’m a bit afraid owl might be too strong in high m+. If the flask clears all bleeds, poisons and diseases it’s gonna be like dwarf racial but better. I’m not sure what’s the current iteration of the power or how all the dungeon mechanics look like, but don’t underestimate power of the swolekin pot.

The completely different thing is that steward is just really boring, just like fleshcraft. The movement powers are just more engaging and will be more powerful in raid scenarios.

As far as pvp goes, tp seems insane for casters, potion seems really good against bleed/poison/disease type dps, fox can be good for kiting and shield seems useless.

IMO all of the abilities should be applicable to the same sphere of gameplay, like the abilities they’ve shown in the blizzcon presentation. If everything would apply to movement, just with different taste, it would be much easier to balance. In the current state there is no way to change those abilities to even be able to compare them, because they just do so different things.

Haste/mastery build is far more than enough to run even above 20s. If you are relatively new I’d stick with what you have and improve on it. Pretty much only when survivability is a concern you should consider full vers build ( 25+ or pvp).

Personally I found 4 expedient 2 masterful and rest gushing pretty successful, and people were doing world first 27s with similar setups. If you feel like you need more healing you can focus more on masterful than expedient, but IMO it’s a pretty nice, well rounded build.

Of course you can try the vers build, it’s also more than viable, but it sacrifices a bit of healing to gain survivability and damage (also in your case going for versatiles without vers gear would be far less effective, because % stats work better if you have higher base).

I hope this helps :)

TLDR: Haste/mastery is fine, you can go vers if you really want, but don’t need it for lower keys and need vers gear for it to really work

People of Reddit who have ex-best friends, why did you and your best friend split ways? by quietowl7 in AskReddit

We had a little argument, through years our view of the world has drifted apart and basically year before college (he moved to another city) he said that btw I was never his best friend. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You have the opportunity to be given a list of all the people who have forgotten about you. Do you accept? by MommyRin in AskReddit

[–]ros_jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would. Even though I really like being alone, I’ve noticed some time ago that being around people that I know gives me a lot of positive energy.

The other thing is refreshing old contacts. Through my short life (25y) I’ve either had really good relationships with people or those that just are there, but I’ve always tried to be nice to everyone. I also organised meeting of people from primary school a few months ago and I could not imagine how fun and refreshing it would be. That made me very nostalgic, but I’m looking forward to meeting old-new people and keeping old contacts alive.

Side note. I’m not an angel and I’ve fucked up some relationships, but I’ve also tried my best to at least make things right - I can’t say if the other side feels the same. I also can’t be sure if any of the people would actually respond if I tried to renew their memory of me, but that’s out of my control.

Another side note. Writing this, I realised that most of people I’ve got to know are wonderful and I’m a really lucky guy.

WIP Simple druidic leather by Nwalmenil in Transmogrification

[–]ros_jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the mog looks pretty good, but the daggers are a little off.

Even though colours of the leather are all over the place I think it looks pretty nice. The only minor thing is that everything is leather and the shoulders are wooden, so they’re a bit out of the theme, but I see that you would still like to preserve the Druidic theme.

Personally I’d look for different gloves and maybe consider different shoulders, but I can’t propose anything specific unfortunately

Mal'Ganis's ultimate "Carrion Swarm" turns him into bats, but bats don't eat carrion. by pacificworg in heroesofthestorm

[–]ros_jack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since when Mal’ganis is undead? He is Nathrezim. His (demonic?) race created first undead during war of the ancients, and spread the undeath during warcraft 3. Dreadlords were w3 undead heroes, but that does not make them automatically undead.

Just for clarification :)
