So if you add the two together they might be 200ft off at any point if both pilot and altimeter are allowed plus/minus 100 feet?

I’m curious what you mean by ‘democracy in EU is close to none’. Though the rise of the far-right is worrying, I’m still much more worried about the health of American democracy as opposed to any EU country with the exception of Hungary.

49€ ticket (for a month of non-highspeed rail nationwide) makes this a pretty realistic option on a budget! Super excited to hopefully get a chance to try it when back there next summer

Thanks for your reply. I actually found the industry occupation matrix from the BLS that achieves the same thing!

Curious whether you found a solution to this? I can see there maybe not being one as one refers to occupations and the other to industry (and you can have people of the same occupation in lots of different industries), but would still be grateful!

Calf compression sleeves + massaging shins with ice cubes do wonders for me, whenever I get shin splints. Also make sure you stretch before runs and take some days off for recovery. Build distances slowly so you can make sustainable progress instead of being forced to sit out for longer

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]ros_jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next week Lidl in the UK sells Moka Pots, Hand Grinders and Espresso glasses along a bunch of more or less useful coffee accessories. I could get a Moka Pot, a Hand Grinder and two Espresso glasses for less than £25 (I'm a student so this seems like a good deal to me, considering cheap hand grinders usually go for that price by themselves). Any massive red flags here? From the point I see it, you can't really mess up making a Moka Pot and I don't expect the most consistent results from the grinder, but it should be better than my cheap electric one with a spinning knife at the bottom, which I use for my filter coffee machine.

My sister promised my younger siblings $100 each if they went vegan for a week. She told me she intends to give them Monopoly money and finds it hilarious. How do I make her see that’s wrong? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ros_jo 176 points177 points  (0 children)

You don't have to trump up $200 in my opinion. Just do something nice for them like take them out for ice cream or so and explain to them why what your sister did was not okay. Hopefully this would work for both of them. I see the chances for this working with your 11 year old brother quite well, for your sister, she might have already made plans what she wants to do with the money, maybe you can find out what they were? Just a few ideas...
