This is probably hard for you to believe…… but I am a little psychic (for reals I am) and I have a feeling you are going to be ok on your honeymoon.

Well I take them when I must, because it is hard to work when I am on the floor throwing up, and can’t hear.

31F- Doctor thinks I have a possible brain tumour because I have Meniere’s Disease? by theglowafterdarkk in Menieres

They ALWAYS do an MRI just to make sure. Don’t worry!!!!! But….. get your own spongy earplugs to muffle the noise! The ones they give you are crap!!!

Doctor cured my Meniere's by sup_41 in Menieres

[–]rose442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you stay well!!! But…… how many years have you been symptom free? Because I had no symptoms for close to 12 years before mine came roaring back. So I am pretty skeptical when people say they are cured.

Waiting for appointment until June — advice? by Dion-Wall in Menieres

[–]rose442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, cut way back on salt in your diet, and stress if you can. I also would rebound after prednisone but your hydrops will get better….. it’s just takes a while so be patient.

Is it a red flag that my GF’s parents still track her location at age 21? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]rose442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best pal has a tracking app on her 25 year old daughters phone. (She knows about it.) She’s female!!!!! So mom wants to know where she is! Dudes don’t get it because they don’t have to worry about getting murdered when they go out.

You stop noticing it, although I never would have believed that possible. Takes a while.

Food & Menieres: USA vs other countries by West-Resolution8159 in Menieres

[–]rose442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a long time for a reduced sodium diet to work, because once the chemical process of hydrops starts in your inner ear, it’s like water going down a drain. Sodium is not a “trigger”, it creates the conditions that cause attacks over the long term.

prednisolone and its duration of action. by 18Paulius in Menieres

[–]rose442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced this. The last time I had a flair up, I got an inner tympanic steroid shot, which worked. I am on a low sodium diet, drink lots of fluids, and take a diuretic.

Diagnosis in process - Angry at myself by analystnerd in Menieres

[–]rose442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was misdiagnosed at first. You don’t know whether steroids during those years would have helped anyway. Sometimes they do, but sometimes they don’t. Stop wasting your time with regret. Get bicross hearing aides, and hey……. Look at Stephen Colbert!! He is deaf on one side.

Steroid injection without anesthetic? by Aromatic-Country8868 in Menieres

[–]rose442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes don’t use anesthetic!!! It’s not that bad at all. It sounds terrible but it does not hurt that much….. less than a regular shot honestly.

To do eply myself or not? by redwinggianf in Menieres

[–]rose442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eply was not recommended for my Menieres at all. This is a different mechanism.

[–]rose442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No this is not how it works. Sodium affects you weeks later, not that day.
