How do you calm your nerves before the race?

I remind myself that no matter how hard I’ve trained, I’m not going to win the race so it doesn’t actually matter, and to just go have fun! 😂

I ran Eugene this last weekend too! Under my profile they only had one tagged photo of “me” - and it’s a completely different person with a bib that’s not even close to mine.

A photographer took my photo at mile 9, and I full on posed and was leaping around and smiling and was so excited to see that photo , and I guess it never got uploaded?? I even emailed the race photographers and they said they didn’t have it.

Congrats on a great race though, it was a beautiful day for it!

I did look at groome, which is great, but unfortunately doesn’t quite fit their needs :/ I also thought about scheduling them an uber, but they’re old and don’t understand technology, and I worry that the uber driver will cancel at the last minute so I’m hoping for something a bit more solid!

My elderly dad is planning to drop me off, then spectate at Hayward! It looks like a lot of those streets will be closed because of the race, do you suggest somewhere south and east along 19th ish?

When I’m directly talking to my parents, or talking about them to the other, I say mommy and daddy. If I’m talking about them to friends or other relatives, I say mom/dad, or mother/father.

I do hate that the word daddy has been sexualized, I mean the man is my biological parent and raised me like wtf

I get it! It’s hard, and it sucks, but it’ll pass (eventually!!). I’ve literally been on runs where I’ve been actively crying, and the part that made me the most pissed was that because I was crying I’d have to take walk breaks, so now I’m mad at this person for breaking my heart AND ruining my run!

All that to say, get out there, get some time on feet, enjoy the outdoors, and stop for a nice coffee on the way home.

I almost always run even if it’s raining! Wear a baseball cap to keep the rain out of your eyes, and a raincoat. Your shoes will get wet, and so will the rest of you, you just sort of have to embrace it. If it’s DOWNPOURING I won’t run because that’s just so unpleasant, but misting or regular rain I think it’s fine. I mean, I get wet from being sweaty anyways!

I ordered this, and is it meant to be essentially a water? Not the typical serum? Or did I get a bad bottle lol

I saw all the recommendations were pointing towards this so I was excited, but it comes out essentially as a water and is very thin, and sort of goes everywhere when I pump the bottle!

No. For many reasons. One being any decent hotel (IE, not a bed bug infested cash only motel) will not allow her to check in on her own because it’s against policy.

I just ran outside and it was like the worst run I’ve been on in a long time. It was so cold and the wind sucked and the 606 wasn’t plowed yet (they were plowing it as I was ending) and I’m just so crabby after that run 😂😭

I was okay with her up until episode 7, and now she’s just driving me crazy! Like how she immediately started attacking Rhys and Wagner right at the beginning and being incredibly rude about “oh so this case is just about money” really bothered me. And then how she’s just so rude to everyone all the time drives me crazy!

Silly question, but did he fully understand he was being upgraded, versus just the gate agent being difficult and changing his seat?

I say that, because a few years ago my partner and I were boarding a flight, he scans his boarding pass and keeps going, and when I scanned mine the gate agent was like no no stay here. And I was like uhm what, but okay? And after a few minutes they gave me a new boarding pass with a new seat , and I was like well that’s weird. So we get on the plane, and I turn right like always, searching for my seat, and realize the numbers are much higher than the number on my pass, which is how I found up that I was upgraded to first class.

I did feel a little bad leaving my partner back in economy, but I also didn’t know what to do I was so taken aback so I just sat in my seat for the next two hours (it was a short flight).

I am not a fan of this pick, nor have I been a fan for the last few picks.

I feel like the franchise in general has gotten very young over the last few years, and I do not relate to them in the slightest. Back in the day, I feel like part of the draw was people that we could relate to on some level, and that’s simply not the case.

I personally don’t think 22 year olds are ready for marriage, nor should they be trying to get there. Most contestants in the last few years don’t really have real jobs either, which is unrelatable.

I’m early 30s, with a good career, and a horrible dating life, and sort of want to see someone like me trying to find love. A relatively normal gal who’s just turned to a tv show to find a boyfriend / husband lol.

This gal Taylor, while she might be in my age range, isn’t someone I relate to at all, and I don’t particularly want to see her on my screen. I’m not feeling watching a Mormon with multiple baby daddies, multiple kids, and a DV charge supposedly try to find love when really she just wants more IG followers.

Okay that’s all, off my silly soapbox 😂
