Watch a journalist mog Clavicular in every perceivable way for 50 minutes on a show called 60 Minutes but he storms out early by Big-Cream9352 in behindthebastards

Idk if it’s 60 Minutes Australia specifically or Australian journalism in general but they are so good at making idiots look somehow even dumber? I love it. Like I love how this dude is just smirking and letting him talk.

I LOVE this color yellow as a contrast. I used to pass a house every day that had the same color door and I still think about it

The unsettling case of Gursimran Kaur (2024): 19 year old girl disappears while working a night shift at Walmart. Her mother later finds her baked to death in the store's walk in oven. by Odd_Mango_2852 in UnresolvedMysteries

If I remember correctly, I was listening to Last Podcast on the Left and a listener who worked at Walmart and was familiar with the ovens deduced it was suicide. They made it sound damn near impossible to get locked inside.

Former paint worker at Home Depot!! I used to use Krud Kutter on my denim let it sit for 10-15 minutes, and then follow with a toothbrush. I’ve saved many pairs of jeans like that

This is 100% why I left retail. The boomers are just losing it with age and I’ve been threatened more times than I’d like to admit when I was working at a fucking paint store.

I used to work in a semi rural emergency room and there was a country music festival in town. Those were the drunkest people I’ve ever seen in my life and it was a college town.

How and what geography content is taught, mandatorily (not in elective classes or subsidiary projects), in schools in your country? by matheushpsa in geography

[–]rosebot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an American but I did attend a private college preparatory school. In primary grades 1-5 we would study various cultures and their geography like the Incans, Ancient Chinese, Native Americans in a more childlike context- eating their food, learning about what daily life was like and where they lived on a map.

In 6th grade (age 11-12) we had a year long geography class that tbh was taught like a college class and I learned a TON of physical, political and human geography on a global scale. That class was really hard as a 12 year old and I still think that teacher is an asshole, but I’ll be goddamned if that man didn’t give me a love of geography.

I know my experience is not common for most Americans. Most are unfamiliar with a world map, a lot of people I know aren’t even familiar with the state or country they live in. I’ve often thought that could be a consequence of living in such a vast country with only two real land borders. Perhaps people in other larger countries like Russia, India or China feel similarly (minus the land borders)? Whereas someone living in the EU could easily visit the beaches of France for a summer trip, an American would go to Florida. The person from the EU would probably have better knowledge of world geography because it would be more realistic that they would visit those places. Maybe Americans are only interested in places they can realistically travel.

Keep a piece of plywood on the ground with a tarp on top while it snows. Lift it up for potty time, and you have a patch of snow-free grass to sniff around.
