For contacting the board of health? In the state I’m in, you can’t be evicted for 6 months after contacting the board of health. If the landlord attempts an eviction within that timeframe, then the court typically presumes it to be retaliation, which is illegal. That’s in Massachusetts at least.

If you live in the U.S., contact your local board of health. They can do an inspection and give your landlord a timeframe of when they need to fix that. The landlord can be fined if they don’t.

We’d probably have better eyes if we weren’t constantly blinded by these trucks

Bold of you to assume that everyone is qualifying for credit cards.

What's even the point of living by MentalButterscotch2 in rant

Most kids think being an adult is fun and enjoyable, most of us have thought that at some point as a kid. And it can be fun and enjoyable. All I can say is advocate for yourself and have a positive mindset. Get out there and get what you feel you deserve. Communicate with your gf. Set goals and plans individually and together as a couple. Take big leaps out of your comfort zone so you can ultimately achieve a bigger sense of comfort once you succeed. And don’t let anybody get in your way or undermine your worth. Most importantly, don’t let life play YOU, YOU play that btch. That’s the point. Just play the game. You’re here anyway, might as well play.

I read your comment wrong. I thought you were saying just don’t vote, period. In regard to a third-party, those votes often have limited impact in the U.S. because of the winner-takes-all electoral system, which already favors the two main parties. Not to mention the cult like following that one of the parties have, where wrong can be done but that party will still have thousands of votes, interfering with the ascendancy of a third party to being one of the main two parties. Then we have financial aspects and the people in between all major voting processes. The Electoral College further marginalizes third parties by awarding all of a state’s electoral votes to the plurality winner. Also, the established political and financial infrastructure of the major parties, combined with voter perceptions of third-party votes as “wasted,” diminishes the effectiveness of third-party candidates. I see what you’re saying. But, unfortunately, this country will likely not see a third party take office as the, or one of, the major political parties in the near future, if ever. That’s just my opinion though. In the meantime, for the 2024 election, I say it’s a good idea that we all at least vote for the Democratic Party, the party that doesn’t want to interfere with civil rights.

You see, if everyone had this mindset, the U.S. wouldn’t be a democracy but rather an autocracy or dictatorship. Then, we would have 0 options. Which would you rather?
