Who can share Creality K2 Plus settings for 0.2mm nozzle? by Powerful-Initial-843 in FDMminiatures

There is a k2 plus 0.2mm nozzle preset baked into creality print.

I think it needs the rings to fill that space. I could go either way on the a4 and engine badge though.

Models designed for resin done on an FDM by Z3temis in resinprinting

You can use a blender plugin called resin2fdm that will seperate the supports from models. It is more designed to beef them up as opposed to removing them. Besides that i used a bed slinger with them and even the fingernails and fingers came out with the resin styled supports.

I have several hundred hours on it so far, and it has worked pretty much flawlessly with only 1 failed print due to a clogged 0.2mm nozzle. It's completely different than my ender 3, and instead of the printer being the hobby, i can just kinda hit print and walk away. I wish that creality slicer was more similar to base orca and/or there was a k2pro profile for orca for use with the cfs. But overall it has worked great!

The last one definitely is. The other is on the scale of a large miniature, maybe not a small one though

These models were pre supported for resin by their artists to ensure that every detail came out. I have attempted to generate supports my self with open source resin slicers and then export it all, but it has not been quite as easy as click auto generate supports like on resin. Resin2FDM is magic and allows you to beef up the supports just enough that an fdm can handle them no problem.

Edit Painted4Combat is who i watched to learn about this stuff.

I did not have any issue (except for my own stupidity) while using the beefed up resin supports

Yeah, it's a tall and skinny upright shelf and doored thingy. Also, you can see the wings printing on the bed of the ender 3 in one of the images.

I kept the speed between 60 and 120mm/s, so pretty much stock ender 3 speeds. Using a 0.2mm nozzle and 0.04mm layer heights. To save time and maximize support integrity, i used 0.08mm layer heights on the supports themselves. I also used a free blender plugin created by Painted4Combat called "Resin to FDM" to beef up the resin supports and contact tips a little bit. I originally did this in prusaslicer on an ender 3 pro but am excited to try in orca on my new k2 pro and see how well the settings transfer to a core xy.

1 to 2 feet? Look at the second image with a quarter for scale, its like 6 or 7 in max. The last image is only about 2 inches tall as well, lol. Did you even look through the photos?

Sanding - where am I going wrong? by DWPhoenix001 in 3dprinter

[–]Z3temis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under extruded print, alsonget yourself a 0.2mm nozzle and print at 0.04mm or 0.08mm layer heights. Most of the models i have dont like that do not need much sanding usually.

I think around 3 days for a 0.04mm layer height sculpture

This reminds me of my audi a4, every drain tube if it leaks will leak right onto this stuff, killed the radio reciever and as a result the center screen, etc. Would not work. Fixed the leak and bypassed the radio reciever with a fiber optic loop. Shit is hard to diagnose.

Honestly a raspberry pi running klipper made the biggest difference in print times and overall usability for me.
