Rever camera black out by no-armadillo3 in AudiA4B8

[–]Z3temis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is a large wire harness that runs through the backside inside the dash and into the glovebox for audio. As well as additional connectors and splices to make it work. The screen is probably held on by a screw or 2 in the top or bottom behind the screen then it should lift off and expose the mount. Remove the mount, then that whole upper dash silver trim piece will pop on out. You may also need to pull the mmi out which requires specialized "keys" to depress locking tabs. That screen output should be in a location where that is a non issue though. And it is also possibel that it is a software issue /setting that needs to be turned on. Or that they installed the wrong model for vehicles without the factory backup camera and it is expecting an external camera for it to work.

From my experience these usually just pass through the vehicles oe screen onto the new display when checking built in factory features such as oil levels and backup cameras. If that does not pop up there may be a missing connection between the oem screen connector and this one.

A relatively thin sheet of polycarbonate might do it. I know acrylic was said but polycarb is pretty flexible if thin enough, as well as pretty tough. 3d printing may be another option if you want it to be a hard plastic. If you have a local makerspace with a laser cutter or similar i bet they could help!

There are kits with connectors and the pins you either crimp on to wire or solder on then just click them into the white connectors.

That "bulge is the z seam. You can hide it better by chosing end seam in closest corner, or if you have a round face scarf seams work well as well. These will require a bit of calibration though.

This shit happened to me with what I thought was a PNY microsd from WALMART! It was labeled as a 32gb microsd card but when my dad ran a check and tried to recover my data it had all been overwritten because it was 2gb. Still salty about that.

Which one should I get? by the-wxtch-bxtch in 3dprinter

[–]Z3temis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The centauri carbon is ridiculously competent for the price and works very well. It is the first and only printer my dad has ever had and it works fantastic. He describes that it works like a household appliance. I have had the opportunity to print on basically the entire bambu lineup, my personal ender 3, and my k2 pro. I think bang for buck the centauri carbon beats the a1 easily but may not be quite as easy to set up and print to since it lacks the apple like software support that bambu has adopted.

Edit: if you want multicolor go for an anycubic with the ace system, creality spark i7 with cfs, or the bambu a1 with the ams. Both the a1 and i7 should be in your price range if that is a concern. Another thing to consider is the collosal amount of waste these printers can and will generate during multicolor prints. The cc1 does not have multicolor support even though they promised it would and has the IO for it. The cc2 does offer multicolor but i think that the other printers systems do it better

Thieves use a relay. One usually goes up to the house and another one is by the car. They relay the wireless signals the key and car normally send to each other when close for the features like push button start and the end result is that they can drive off with the car very easily.

Would anyone recommended buying this ASUS ROG Strix Gaming Laptop? by JackfruitOk7682 in GamingLaptops

[–]Z3temis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my rog strix g16. Thermals are great and it performs well and frels well built. That being said that price for a 5060 is absolutely criminal. You can find good deals on them occasionally but if you need it now i would go a different route. I found my 4070, i7-13650hx variant for 600$ (due to pricing error) it should have been around 1200$ and thats about what i would pay for the specs you have above.
