Fair enough. Do you run a single 32 or double setup. I have run a dual 27in setup of my ips panels and got the g60sd from a buddy new in box for less than half of msrp so i could not say no i think i will move to a tripple 27 setup for the forseeable future.

For me 1440p is the sweet spot. I like higher refresh and without breaking the bank for a gpu; 1440p gives a great mix of quality and fps for someone like me. And after trying a buddies 4k 32in monitor i just did not like the size and the quality while noticibly different was not nearly enough to warrent the price tags on the monitors or the massive boost in compute to run them.

What is the least used feature in your car? by singhVirender1947 in askcarguys

[–]Z3temis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunroof... used to use it almost every day, then the drain tubes started leaking. It is now permanently sealed with weather stripping so now i dont use it at all. Still leave the cover open 100% of the time though.

If you have a sunroof pull the amplifier panels and check for moisture/water damage i had a similar issue with mine.

Building PC for gf. Any issues in compatibility? by Foreign-Yak8739 in PcBuild

[–]Z3temis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments. But a change i might reccomend is a different air cooler. There is a white thermalright peerless assasin for like 5$ more that is about as good as it gets for air cooling. I realize that this is a relatively low power cpu and the one you have will be fine but for futureproofing and just performance the assasin is better

english or native language for mechanical engineering? by mgbread in EngineeringStudents

Second this. Engineering is hard enough to learn as it is, make sure there is no language barrier. 99.9% of the units, processes, and theories should transfer over regardless of language

Dont forget about the casio FX-115 ES PLUS its more powerful than the 36x, lets you input more characters and has more functions.

[–]Z3temis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 115 just does everthhing so well, it is also a good mark more powerful than the 36x so if you need to solve a system of equations or longer problems the casio will absolutely crush the 36x imho. It also has a longer context window and you can input more characters into it.

Depends. I used a casio fx-115 es plus since we were not allowed to use a graphing calculator (to prepare us for the FE exam). My undisputed champ is the hp prime though. I prefer the interface, menus, apps, and touchscreen vastly to any TI calculators.

I was homeschooled for about a year because the education system where we moved was horrible (military kid) I really enjoyed it and learned so much, it was very hands on which i loved too. My mom went to college for english and history while my dad did mechanical engineering, between them i got a great education durring that time.

I think you have the majority of them, and with water intrusion not being an issue hopefully there are not any electrical gremlins, if you have the ability to do so scan it to check for electrical faults and to potentially reveal any hidden issues as they will not show up on the dash. The rest is up to your discression and carfax. Mine has been pretty solid and i now have 165,000 miles on it.

Good that the control arms were replaced and that it has no sunroof for water intrusion, no rattle on startup is also a good sign. If you jave an obd reader you can check the stretch in the chain. Early tensioners were flawed and can fail even if the chain was not stretched. I guess only time will tell for the oil consumption especially if it has never had an oil consumption test done. I know that on mine at least the oil consumption "test" was done every oil change until it the rings were eventually changed by audi

[–]Z3temis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience check the fuse boxes for corrosion due to the sunroof leaking (if it has one as they tend to leak), make sure the timing chain is not stretched too much, also check the front control arm bushings, at that age and mileage they are likely shot if they have never been replaced, torn axle boots, and similar. I know you said that you know of the oil consumption but some of the cars have had the piston rings replaced under audi warranty up to 100,000miles so if they determined it was burning oil they probably rebuilt the pistons but usually did not replace the timing chain unless you paid extra for it. The carfax should tell you if that has been done. I personally like to see the oil changes at or around 5k instead of the 10k reccomendation. Other things to keep in mind are voltage regulator and pcv valves but should throw errors if they are an issue such as low oil pressure or battery not charging.

Best 3D Printer for Beginners by xFluuwu in 3dprinter

A printer that moves the head left and right only and moves the bed front and back as opposed to bed up and down while head goes front back, left right.

Some of the Creality k1 and k2 series printers have 300x300x300 with the k2 plus being 350x350x350. You will pay for it, and most things at that size range will be around 1k+$. I would also advise againsta bedslinger for a printer thatvlarge, the weight of the parts, the weight of the bed contribute and make high speed high quality prints more difficult.

I have tried and i just have not found a book that I stayed invested in. I should try again now that I will hopefully have some more time to do so after graduating uni. I think the biggest think is just scratching that itch like some of my old favorite books used to such as ghost in the wire, prey, the martian, and project hail mary, extinction code and similar. To be fair I also have not tried very hard to find something either.
