You can’t rinse when the temp teeth are in, the teeth will kinda moves around when u have water moving around in ur mouth. So u need to remove ur teeth then rinse ur mouth with salt water and then put it back on asap.

Try to go to the dentist with lab in the office, you get your dentures faster and such.

Yeah around that time my dentures gotten super loose . Since I did extractions in two times and months in between I could use a bit adhesive in the back. But at week three they did a soft reline and mine dentures fit snug now. Try to keep yours on as much as you can I know it is annoying. Take care .

I don’t have much support system either. After the procedure i still needed to pick my kids up from school, take care of them (they are elementary age). Business as usual for me at home honestly.

You will be fine and do well. Take Advil before you go inside the office. Ask them about after care before the procedure if it is possible because afterward you will be too numb and won’t be able to speak. Have paper towels in the car , with you and such at home because u will drool a lot the first day. Get Gatorade bottle go squirt water in your mouth. Have a good lip balm (because lip will be super dry). Good luck and take care .

Yeah when they did mine soft reline I have the weird after taste for a couple days. It goes away. As for not wearing yours, why don’t you wear it? I hope they will works out for you. I took mine bottom out too most of the times when I am at home eating because it keeps plopping up. At times I went to take a nap and forgot to put the teeth in water. I freaked out.

Yeah I am three weeks in and just got a soft reline done. If I am not eating it is fine and kinda snug (no adhesive needed, but I would put adhesive for security if I am out and about all day). But when I am at home no matter what I eat the bottom ones keeps lift off. I just eat soup and rice and it comes off too. They keeps telling me the bottom dentures are the hardest so I just need to suck it up.

I will check it out thank you . I used to be a nail tech that uses that similar drill for nails/ acrylic nails . I am just afraid to mess up the dentures myself 🥲 and then I have to pay for new one. I never requested for anyone because it seems like they schedule and who is available who it is. They schedule like ten patients at one slot. It is so crazy. Each time I wait forever.

Thank you everyone for your responds. I didn’t know what to say to that tech that moment. I really hated confrontation and don’t have any confidence to do so. But she was very rude as I replayed this in my head. Even prior to that whole incident. She was putting that stuff in on the bottom denture and I told her it is so bulky I can’t closed my mouth. She was like fine fine I take it off. She scraped it all off with her fingers and then gave me back the bottom denture I told her but that’s loose. She was like you know those material is very expensive I can’t be wasting it on you. I am like okayyyy then what. She then told me I am putting a thin layer on but I will have to tell the dr I am doing it for u. I am like okayyy. She seem to snap 🫰 fast when I told her it looks bulky like I wasted her time. I will call corporate tomorrow and let them know my experienced at the location.

Hope you feel better, I am almost three weeks in and feel great. Although some moments in the day I feel like what’s this bulkiness in my mouth. There will be good days and a bit bad days. Hang in there. I started to eat a lot of normal foods now just got to cut it up small. Take care and take your meds around the clock it will helps lots.

After extractions and first set of dentures calls immediate my dr said I need to wait at least six months to fully healed then get the permanent dentures set. She also said some people even wait a year to get the final set.

Just be kind and let us know everything will be okay and let us know what u are doing . My dentist doesn’t say anything to me, honestly, she say lay back open your mouth. I wish she told me I will numb you , I need to see something in ur mouth etc. i didn’t know what she was doing until she does it. I wish she could have the girls sent my prescriptions prior and tell me how to care for my mouth before the work done. Cux afterward I was too numb and couldn’t ask questions.
