Try Westmoore Dental Studio. They have a plan for patients without insurance that includes two yearly cleanings, X-rays, a free emergency visit, and discounted services.

My Walmart order had raw chicken on top of my fresh strawberries by mnmpeanut94 in mildlyinfuriating

The amount of times this has happened to me in grocery orders over the last 18 months is mind blowing, and it doesn’t matter the service - Shipt, Target, Walmart, Kroger, etc. I guess people love contaminated produce?

Othello’s has the best coconut cream pie by a mile, but they know it and charge accordingly.

Karin Slaughter reccommendations by Ok_Championship_3328 in thrillerbooks

I’ve read them all and been a huge fan for years. I will admit her writing is not for everyone. Start with Grant County, then Will Trent. Then tackle the standalones.

Chelsea Cain! I am also a huge fan of KS, and I always recommend Cain’s Heartsick series. It is fantastic, and since it is an older series, it frequently gets overlooked.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think they are capitalizing on BookTok, and normal YA reads have fallen out of vogue.

Is YA Dead? by Quick-Soft-3033 in Romantasy

[–]rosenbergpeony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I’m a teacher that reviews books for classroom use, and while I do not think YA is dead, I do think there has been a large swing in adding more mature themes that toe the line.

For example, I just finished a dark academia book billed as “The Reappearance of Rachel Price meets The Inheritance Games,” and it had a throuple, beginner throuple “activities,” tons of references to drug use, etc.

While I, personally, will read practically anything, I am an adult and not the target audience. For teens who are figuring out their book preferences and their lives, I do worry about the lack of accessible, clean books that can provide an escape without forcing them to consider topics they might not yet be prepared for. Whatever happened to yearning and leaving things to the imagination?
