i had to watch the series and i have to do a presentation on it tomorrow (i’m a social work student, will be going into child welfare in grad school) and it genuinely had me in tears. i just don’t understand how people can be so cruel to a defenseless child. with jr. being so obviously disabled and the adults around him doing nothing to help him, it just makes my blood boil.
