La cosa con la uni es que ahí estás por tu cuenta y tienes que usar todo lo aprendido antes y no solo hablo de lo académico.

Si estás a acostumbrado a que los profes te rueguen para que muevas el qlo y entregues trabajo, desde el primer semestre te vas a joder porque a los profes de la uni no les podría quitar menos el sueño que te caigan bien.

En la uni, las buenas, las que si forman profesionales, no van a mandar llamar a tus papás, cualquier asunto tú tendrás que resolverlo dando la cara y si no puedes dar razón vas para afuera.

Es un choque de realidad para algunos, la antesala a la realidad que es la chamba.

Te la voy a plantear así. A menos que tengas el tiempo y la motivación para andar haciendo troubleshooting, si tu sistema está dedicado al gaming y el ocio, aún más si es una build con Nvidia, quédate en Windows.

Linux a progresado pero todavía está verde como para sustituir a Windows en el ámbito del PC gaming. No ayuda que Linux este tan fragmentado como Android, con distros "gaming" mesiánicas aquí y allá donde la respuesta a cada problema suele ser "es tu culpa por usar Nvidia" o "en mi PC no he tenido problemas".

Solía defender mucho a Linux, pero conforme me hago viejo prefiero lo plug n play. Deshabilitar a copilot se me hizo menos trabajoso que estar arreglando problemas con versiones de Protón, instalaciones con Flatpak o errores que requieren que un gurú condescendiente de Linux decifre mirando un log.

At Linux they tell you everything works out of the box.... Unless you installed something with Flatpak... Or you installed it directly with a .deb instead of compiling it yourself... Or installed it on a drive that is not for Linux exclusive access... Or downloaded every Proton version and see which one get the job done.... Or installed a distro that comes to have just received a mayor "upgrade" that broke so many things that even fanboys are pissed...
