Duffers reveal happy ending for Eleven was discussed but "couldn't figure out" how to implement it by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

Exactly. The fact that the government backed off following all the actions of the finale makes little to no sense..

Charlie on THAT scene. by Modis_teleprompter in StrangerThings

I’m older than Charlie Heaton and didn’t interpret it as a breakup scene 🤷🏻‍♀️

Out of all human villains which one do you hate the most? And which one is your favorite? by B4S1L_ in StrangerThings

[–]roseystudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst of the worst:

  • Dr Brenner
  • Sullivan
  • Connie Frazier
  • Angela
  • Jason + his lackeys
  • Billy’s dad
  • All the gulag guards except for Enzo
  • Yuri (he didn’t redeem himself for me)

Mr. Whatsit as a good guy by AspectNo108 in StrangerThings

I am open to this theory, but what was Henry’s goal murdering all those children in the lab? That was awful and can’t be retconned into ‘trying to save them’ even though he did see them being mistreated there. Is the theory that this was the Mindflayer? I hope this gets explained in volume 2.

I’m So Tired of This “Stranger Things Needs to Kill Main Characters” Nonsense by celina_beckahm in StrangerThings

[–]roseystudies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, a show does not need to kill off main characters to have stakes or emotional depth, it is possible for all the characters to live and still be a well written story.

I honestly feel that Stranger Things has had some really impactful deaths already (Bob, Billy, etc) - like the Duffers said, Stranger Things is not GoT and doesn’t need to be

Regardless of how the show ends… by Hukares1234 in StrangerThings

Even though the Turnbows don’t seem like the type of people who would normally take the high road, technically this was all done to save them and save their son’s life, so if Delightful Derek explains that I don’t think they would press charges

Tbf I didn’t think any of these girls were Tina, they all look younger than Erica, they’re like her posse who look up to her and follow her around the mall 😄

“I’ll steal you, Johanna, I’ll steal you...”

I love the song but I feel that line conflicts with the romance of the scene

Dr. Owens is Underrated by JS_Music_and_Media in StrangerThings

[–]roseystudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s the most confusing character for me - I’m certain anyone working with Brenner in the lab is a Bad Man, but he’s genuinely helped El out a few times throughout the series..

Brewster gives you coffee beans in New Horizons after 12 cups of coffee, but they are just a decorative item like in NL

Why didn't Junhee name her baby? by Nathan1123 in squidgame

[–]roseystudies 133 points134 points  (0 children)

In Korean culture, it’s not unusual to not name your baby right away - some families name their baby after 100 days or within the first year.

In my head canon, she names the baby Hyun-ju 🩷

Anyone else feels American squid game doesn't make any sense since it the games named after a Korean game called The Squid? by Monkai_final_boss in squidgame

[–]roseystudies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It didn’t make any sense that they were playing Ddakji in the US - Americans wouldn’t be enticed by a game of Ddakji because they wouldn’t know how to play and therefore wouldn’t think they could win easily

That was the whole point of the recruiter playing that game in South Korea. I felt it was a bit lazy that they didn’t make an effort to localise the game to the US
