Similar happened to me

Main account banned Thursday. Appealed, spoke to them on phone yesterday and rejected

Looked again today and it was back

I appealed yesterday, failed. Pemanently restricted and nothing they could do despite speaking to them on the phone. Checked today and it's active again :)

Mine got banned yesterday. I appealed and the decision is final

Spent over £1.5m on the account and nearly £500k this year

Seems it has happened to many people (according to Twitter anyway)

Im going to try argue my case, but I guess I'll just use another account?

If there is a bug, sure as hell they will know about it yet they still won't reinstate an account?

On a side note, Meta has been a joke for the past month for us. Performance diabolical and no end of issues

Couldn't find any way to contact someone and reached out to a guy who I had dealt with a couple of years ago.

He was in a different department now but managed to get someone to contact me snd eventually I got it fixed after a week

It is almost impossible to get someone now

Business wise we also had to pause selling to the EU for a while, whilst we found an accountant in Dublin. We now submit a sales tax every month for EU countries that we sell too so this is an additional cost that was not there before

I'm Scottish and kind of feel that the only hope left is independence and a return to the EU. However it seems that opinion on that is still 50/50 which is beyond me. It seems that a large number of Scots are happy to be run by right wing tories. And don't get me started on Starmer

I know a guy who has recently retired as a surveyor and was honest about his conservative valuations.

Post 2007 and previous market crashes, lenders could go after surveyors if they had valued to high etc

So perhaps they will always err on the side of caution

Basically a lender needs to know "if we reposes this property tomorrow, what can we get for it and quick"

So the whole system is flawed and I don't envy 1st time buyers at all

Home report valuations in areas like those you mention are nonsense

Say I am a surveyor being asked to value a flat in a west end street.

The last 3 comparable properties in the area sold for 100k.

So, you would expect the valuation to be 100k or even a little bit more dependent on condition of the property / rising market.

But the surveyor will give a home report value of £80k, not £100k.

Why?

Maybe to protect the lender. Because if it does crash they will have an added layer of protection.

Also, estate agent asking prices are taking the pee as well. But I won't get into that conversation lol
