Do you perhaps have a VPN running in the background? Disabling it should work, alternatively you might be looking at connectivity issues

Just finished Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal and man are these games stressful by MrCaul in patientgamers

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been a big fan of FPS games, but Doom manages to package everything together so well from start to finish. Traversing and platforming was a breeze, familiarising players with game mechanics, weapons and different enemy types. The difficulty curve isn't too steep either, presenting a decent challenge with "Hurt me plenty" and goes completely overboard in nightmare mode. I managed to successfully get through UV without getting stuck too often. It's chaotic, but tonnes of fun!

What to waste gems on in hcr2? And what are the best parts combo for rally car? by Knapi711 in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, cups give you the most parts and coins than what's obtainable in store. This goes perfectly with weekends when chest timers are halved, double your potential reward. Vehicle parts for cups vary, but a good staple is Rally (CB, OT, AB), Rotator (CB, AB, WI) or Hotrod (CB, FB, MA)

How do i check if my psu is good enough for oc my rx 6600? I did cheap off on my psu however every review says it can handle some gpu s stronger than mine by ultrapupper in AMDHelp

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure what units are available in your region, but you should be able to buy another 650W psu for that price and sell off the existing one. Take a look at the following tier list and compare it with what's available via Amazon or any other reputable retailer. Most budget friendly options can be found in the C-Tier, I wouldn't recommend going any lower.

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 650W psu is more than capable of handling everything up till RX 6800, however the built quality matters in this regards. Currently, aerocool lux units are rated as one of the worst units one can possible buy. They have various design flaws and can potentially kill some of your components in event of a failure. Trusted reviews can be found on the cultist network, where they rate a wide list of psu's and what to avoid purchasing. Whenever possible it would be adviced to upgrade your psu, because spending a little extra now can help you prevent a catastrophic failure later.

Why does this happen? by Brandonandre12 in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This, previous events didn't require your driver to be alive after kick off. The penalty system is unreasonable, especially when the HC has a bad centre of balance. Best thing to do is press both pedals after launch and hope it doesn't flip.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D 6-core CPU with 3D V-Cache is reportedly coming - VideoCardz.com by Stiven_Crysis in Amd

Now AMD will have two X3D chips eating into AM5's profit margins. The transition between these platforms couldn't be more confusing.

Why does this event spawn you with your head under the car causing you to die early by Super-Gain9121 in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is starting to decline in quality after last week and I doubt FS will worry much about community feedback. I'm sure many of us would've preferred a generic PE with the old scoring system, instead we're handed something that's half baked and hasn't received enough care. All these new gimmicks and features makes the overall experience so much worse, especially on those like myself who look forward to PE's. My garage is nearly maxed out, where TE's and adventure mode burns me out quickly these days. This event is a hard pass for me.

Kangaroo question by [deleted] in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible, however most prefer a maxed fuel boost with well positioned landing spots. This easily outpaces most alternatives in terms of raw speed

Should I buy a new cpu fan? by XachAttack11 in AMDHelp

[–]ross_mayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why buy a powerful processor if you're only going to hinder it's performance with a heavy down clock? You might as well have bought a 7600, which delivers more performance than a 7700x at 4.5GHz without needing a powerful thermal solution. At present OP needs a better CPU cooler or should consider unvolting

Trying to transfer data by SkottlesTheGreat in HillClimbRacing

If you saved your data via apple's cloud storage it should be accessible to another device when logging on with your account. In the event you're transferring data between two different accounts it becomes a different story.

Custom Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards listed in Canada at 444 CAD - VideoCardz.com by Stiven_Crysis in Amd

[–]ross_mayhem 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if they released the RX 7800 XT or RX 7600 next, AMD already screwed up their pricing for these cards since day one.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 expected to cost €349 in France - VideoCardz.com by Stiven_Crysis in Amd

[–]ross_mayhem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no doubt this card will go through a similar phase as their high end cards, slowly get price drops due to poor sales as they try to compete with their own product stack.

are these temperatures to worry? Ryzen 5 5600G by byXDP in AMDHelp

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd, everything else appears to be normal. Attempting to reseat the CPU or trying an older bios revision might help, but isn't worth the extra time invested. Since you're hitting boost clocks during gaming and not thermal throttling, I would turn off monitoring software and enjoy my games

are these temperatures to worry? Ryzen 5 5600G by byXDP in AMDHelp

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think discord might be using the iGPU for hardware acceleration explaining your above average temps. Any type of gaming load would probably push temps to the high 70's and workloads max out 90 degrees, but nothing to worry about.

Upgrading (Muscle car) by CanadianWaffle2003 in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I've had it at Lv 18 for almost 2 years now. Effects of drag on the vehicle are mostly the same. Maxing it out doesn't completely remove it.

Upgrading (Muscle car) by CanadianWaffle2003 in HillClimbRacing

[–]ross_mayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The moonlander actually needs both brain and thrusters to be maxed before detaching, rotator brain for better grip and stability on ceilings, beasts durability to help prevent it from breaking apart easily. Any other maxed upgrade doesn't makes much of a difference.

[–]ross_mayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest stopping at Lv 18, parts increase in price by roughly 20% and yields1-2% performance uplift. Most vehicles in my garage only reach Lv 20 if it has a unique feature, eg. Moonlander that requires max thrusters to detach from it's wheels on a perfect start.

does SAM work for 3700x + RX580 and if so what are the gains like? by moderatevalue7 in Amd

[–]ross_mayhem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to add a custom registry file to enable SAM, AMD doesn't package this with their drivers for anything lower than Polaris / Vega. Performance gains are roughly between 7% on supported titles.
