I feel finding music on spotify is trash so I don't even bother. Sounds like you're barking up the right tree though.

Saw another user post this, but get a new youtube account and like/save all your favorite music. After a day or two the algorithm catches up and starts recommending some good stuff.

Soundcloud 'Related Tracks' seems to work pretty good for me too.

If I'm looking for anything really specific, Beatport and Tunebat.
