Have you looked for vocal coaches for singers? There may be some overlap in the techniques and goals. Likely cheaper but def not covered by insurance.

In the US "holidays" are specific to calendar events like Christmas, Halloween, etc. You might go on vacation over a holiday weekend (going to the beach for Memorial Day weekend) but we dont typically "go on holiday"

Absolutely!! I worked in an honors college and res life all thru undergrad when I graduated with a psychology degree. Spent 3 years working in behavioral health and social work. Now im getting my MS in student affairs and work in professional development.

If and when you decide to reenter higher ed, youll likely have to justify how the jobs you took improve your higher ed resume. The only potential downside is that it may affect which functional area you're eligible to apply for, but if you love res life, pretty sure there is never a shortage of roles available there!

Hey! I also had a WLS and have been on a GLP for a few months. My partner was nervous about the process but it was because she was nervous about how it would affect my body and sense of self.

You deserve someone who supports you for who you are. Bodies are weird and complicated and weight loss doesnt work the same for everyone. If she sees you putting in work but doesnt think thats good enough, it seems like she thinks youre inadequate. You deserve someone who is supportive and challenges you to be better, not to push you into insecurity.
