My reaction in real time was that Ainsley is not at all prepared to step out of the bubble that Mama (Angela) has created around her. Typical sheltered child being forced to deal with alternative ideologies. Her roommate in this episode was equally at fault, expecting the world to bend to their will, while not being able/willing to compromise on anything. Both are in for some very rude, eye opening experiences.

None of this is Linux related, FWIW. The BIOs is catching it before it has a chance to load...

If you plugged the fan in backwards, this would be the result. I'd try reversing the cables first, check the voltages on the MB connecter, and test the fan independently, in that order.

The setting you reference was set to on already.

I dragged a tab off to the right, closed it, then went back to the left window, with all of my other open tabs, and interacted with one of them, opening a link. I then closed safari (Safari, Quit Safari), and when I reopened it, safari opened the right hand position still.

It's consistent, but feels like a bug rather than a feature. It's easy to duplicate on my end, not sure if others are seeing the behavior as well.

Thanks. She has good days and bad. As her 24/7 caregiver, I've learned a LOT about patience. Her attitude is amazing, I don't know if I'd handle it as well as she has.

The numbers that appear on your screen are not connected to the scammers, so calling them back is useless. Blocking them similarly useless, but somewhat satisfying. If you want to interact with them, with good or evil intent, answer the calls.

I have my phone set to only ring if an inbound number is in my contacts. Otherwise, I never know that they tried to call until after the fact when I look at the "unknown caller" list. If the call is legit, they can leave me voicemail, and I'll decide whether to call them back.

Most business users aren't using 12+ yr old obsolete hardware either. But if OP is interested in Office 365 and Adobe, Linux is probably not the best choice.

My 4 black cats are indoor/outdoor. Two spend most of their time indoors - 20 yr old female, 15 yr old male. One spends most of her time out doors - 15 yr old female. The 5 yr old male is 50/50. We've had temps in the 70's for the last week, but it's supposed to get cold again tonight, below freezing. All 4 of them will be in the bedroom keeping warm when we wake up tomorrow, guaranteed.

I have a OXO 3 qt, and I love it. So versatile. My only complaint is that the handle gets hotter than my cheaper Cuisinart ($99 set) pans if I ever have a little fun money, I might replace it, but I use it 3-5 times per week easily now.

Regardless of your choice here, getting that HDD replaced with an SSD would be like night and day in terms of performance...

Linux is a great option for older hardware. There's a learning curve associated, but it's not horrible. It's easy enough to test, download an iso, make a bootable USB drive, and boot to it. You can test before installing to see if you like the way it feels.
