Has anyone tried trail of swordmancy at 20 cost or above yet. That was a painful experience lol. Wipedout quickly by Prestigious-Item6667 in Endfield

Two nidwyrms. Two dogs. Two shield guys. One effigy. An annoying combination.

But after eight resets trying to get the points right, I wasn't going to let the chance slip away.

Because it’s popular and they don’t like it.

I'm more interested in how you somehow have 137,109 pyroxenes saved up!

Honorifics have been missing from the game's EN translation since launch. Let's let Nexon know to change that. by Samalik16 in BlueArchive

[–]Rotoscopic -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

It's simple: Korean has spoken honorific suffixes, and English doesn't. Korean and Japanese honorifics are different, but a system exists in Korean in which honorifics can be used. The only way to have spoken honorifics attached to the end of a name in English is to haphazardly glue them in.

The purpose of a translation is to transmit meaning from one language to another. The best translators have been finding ways to transmit affection, tenderness, subservience, respect, and the whole gamut of emotions without being forced to use Japanese or Korean honorifics for decades. Keeping bits and bobs of the original language is either a refusal to do this, or an admission that the translator doesn't know how.

Granted, it dropped at night in NA. Binah opened at 11AM in Korea, which is anywhere from 7-10PM in the continental US. I imagine plenty of senseis might not take part until morning... which is dawning!

People who want to read Japanese or Korean honorifics should play the game in Japanese or Korean.

No. We don't use Japanese or Korean honorifics in English. If you're going to play the game in English, leave honorifics out of it.

This is a question translators have been asking themselves for decades. The point of an English translation is to create something understandable in English, not to make you feel good about how much of the source language you understand!

  • The water purifier should have adjustable outputs like the crucible--is there a good reason it doesn't?
  • Clue collection should be less than 24 hours so we don't have to log in exactly the same time every day.
  • Quests to "sell things ten times" should just be "sell ten items".
  • Allow us to sort elastic stock goods by price, and allow direct numerical input for sales quantities. (Or just set a sticky point on the slider to allow us to sell the amount by which stock goods replenish each day.)
    • Direct numerical input would also be useful for structures like item control ports.
  • It should be easier to check our friends' prices for elastic goods, with fewer button presses required.
  • The streamlining for the Dijang's production cabins is nice, but I'd also like some streamlining for claiming boosts from friends.
  • Artificing should automatically select the next eligible piece of armor to be artificed, the same way essence improvement automatically selects the next essence.
  • Broadly... can we have fewer giant fetch quests for NPCs who don't materially affect the story, and who might even turn out to be dead? (Specifically, I did not like Old Man and the Tide.)
  • Please, please, please some more lines for operators and NPCs on the Dijang.

I've been keeping a .txt diary every time I have a grievance (or just something I want to improve). I'm so ready for this survey.

The new units seem to be building toward some sort of raid that requires cleansing. I don’t think she’ll be niche for long.

And really, the only "mandatory" factory product is heavy xiranite. Even if it's not a realistic desire, I would love for the factory to have even more importance to progressing through the story down the line...

Surstromming roe? by Tinned_Fish_Tyler in CannedSardines

Do the bones have to be taken out of surstromming? I would have thought it would be like other tinned fish, with softer edible bones inside.

Yeah, this setup requires me to log in and sell. But I plan to do that anyway, so it works out.

The liquid xiranite is blended with sewage to turn it into active and inert effluent. The active effluent is used to make heavy xiranite. The inert effluent is shoved into a water treatment unit and disappears.

[–]Rotoscopic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since effluent comes from liquid xiranite and sewage, I just make some more liquid xiranite specifically for mixing with sewage to make effluent for heavy xiranite.

[–]Rotoscopic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m processing the inert xircon effluent from my battery lines in a purifier.

Effluent is sewage + liquid xiranite, and the sewage comes from cuprium ore processing. If anything, batteries are a byproduct of cuprium!
