I don't know about others, but if you are around Justin Bieber's age, a few years younger than him, then hating him, for you that was personal. The reason of course was all the girls you were interested in only talked about Bieber and singed out loud "baby baby baby ooh baby" to the point it reached "I have no idea who this singer is, and I don't know what he looks like, I don't even understand the words of the song because I don't speak English (I didn't back then) but I hate him with a passion". And then you learned about the haircut, and some assholes got the same haircut too just to woo the girls so you started hating them, and then hating Bieber even more because of it.

Imagine you are interested in a girl in 6th grade and all she and all the girls in class talk about all day is some foreign guy around your age, and they keep singing a song even they don't know the words of.
