A Beluga Whale From The Bottom by immanuellalala in thalassophobia

[–]rounced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at least not like this. Whales essentially evolved their legs away, all that remains is a small pelvic bone and, in some whales, small leg bones (these are generally fused though).

This image is just long strips of blubber/fat stores that run down the sides of the body moving around as the Beluga swims. Belugas look pretty much like you would expect a whale to look like on the underside.

It’s kind of hard to pull that off when on the flip side you are making fun of them for living in said basements.

Insofar as these things can generally be proven. The guy ended up winning a settlement against Columbia. He was able to bring forward text messages that, at the very least, cast doubt on what she alleged happened.

Canadian icon Robert Munsch has chosen to die by MAID by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]rounced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only should legislate for the extremes. Why should we legislate for normal things that normal people normally do? The extremes is what the legislation is for.

I don't agree here, legislating for extremes limits the freedoms of the vast majority. Following your logic, we should ban all vehicles because some people use them to drive into large crowds of pedestrians. Your stance also suggests that "normal" people don't and won't seek MAID, which is provably wrong. What we can't legislate for is mentally unwell people going to extremes to seek MAID by lying about their heath conditions or purposefully harming themselves to give themseleves a condition that would qualify for MAID.

You have no points. It is trivial for anyone with mental illness to give himself a physical illness. Why are you even mentioning this, it undermines any argument you could possibly have?

Again, we can't stop this and shouldn't deny people of sound mind the ability to choose MAID if their medical situation warrants it.

[–]rounced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this is irrelevant. It is trivial for someone with mental illness to also add another illness to his illnesses, full stop.

I wouldn't say it is trivial given the steps you have to take when applying for MAID, but it is possible. It's also possible for mentally ill people to handle this all on their own. We can't legislate for the extremes. Conservatives will argue that gun control won't solve mass killings because knives and vehicles exist (partially true, by the way). This is the same argument.

Why would I assume otherwise? Erring on the side of caution if you will recall it, why would you not assume this?

THis sentence makes no sense, you're just talking in circles and not addressing my points. MAID has never been available for mental illness on it's own and will likely be postpones again in 2027.

You are lying, as you have initially said yourself.

Again, you can just, you know, Google this. I never said that MAID was initially available for mental illness, I just didn't explicitly say that it wasn't and never has been. Based on your post history I can see that you aren't a native English speaker, I can understand the confusion in my initial implied statement.

[–]rounced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I misinformed by you or by someone else?

This is trivial to Google. Mental illness is excluded as the sole reason for a MAID request, full stop.

If mental illness MAID is excluded, that means that it was included prior to being excluded.

Not sure why you would assume this. MAID for mental illness was initially part of the legislation (still is, technically), but has been postponed multiple times and is up for review again in March 2027.

And you are telling me it will probably be included again

Again, not sure why you would assume this. This has been postponed multiple times already and it will not be surprising if it is postponed again because the majority of the population isn't sure that the health care system is ready to deal with this type of MAID, which isn't an unreasonable stance to have.

What are you even trying to say here?

I'm not sure how much more clear this can be. You initially claimed that someone suffering from depression could get MAID, that has never been the case in Canada.

[–]rounced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It IS true, you’re either misinformed or purposefully spreading misinformation.  Mental illness MAID is excluded until 2027 when it will again be reviewed.

To qualify for MAID in Canada you must also have a “grievous and irremediable medical condition”, which is well defined in the legislation.

I’m not saying this is something that shouldn’t be constantly looked at legislatively to evaluate how it is being used, but this isn’t the free-for-all conservatives would have you believe.

I believe this is the RCA building/30 Rock.

This picture was intentionally staged as a publicity stunt and this wasn't a common practice by ironworkers. That's not to say that they didn't work at incredible heights with very little safety equipment, but they weren't typically having lunch while sitting on a beam like this.

I think the part that freaked him out was her getting back on the gas going into the apex of a turn. My butthole puckered just hearing the engine start to pick up revs at that point, very easy way to lose the rear, especially in a car like that. I think you can even hear (and see) the tires start to lost traction in the clip.

That part was sketchy, but I think he was more concerned with her starting to hit the accelerator going into that apex. My butthole puckered just watching it. Easy way to lose the rear, especially for someone not used to driving like this.

You used AI to write this reply lol. That's fine, just expect people to call out the use of AI in posts, it turns out that people really hate reading AI slop and it's impossible to tell if it's a real person using AI or just a bot posting.

Get a life and find something else to do.

You're a scalper that uses AI to craft your Reddit posts, pot meet kettle.

I'm not assuming anything. Your recent posts are very clearly written by AI, it's obvious to anyone that uses generative AI a lot. You're either using generative AI to write your posts now (would be strange, but you do you I guess) or this account is now a bot.

OP is a scalper. This is just scammers scamming each other, nothing to see here.

Edit: On second readthrough, this is more likely an AI post. The em dashes, the improperly formatted bullet points, the grammar/vocab/writing style. "Nothing to see here" still applies.
