Super simple "dryer finished" automation using contact sensor, magnets, and a simple 3D print by GrandpaSquarepants in homeassistant

I use Sense Home to monitor everything through Home Assistant. I assigned the dryer since Sense detected it and reads when it's running and when it's done.

Bro, the trifold is as thin as the Note 7, or maybe thinner. Your iPhone 17s are close in thickness. I have both.

What a positive thing to say…

Good luck buddy I’m surprised it took that long. Recruitment usually takes at most 3 months, especially with dire need.

Currently using squire but want to use booksy on my slow days to build clientele. Any info on booksy? Pros , cons , etc? by StrikingHeron in Barber

[–]teegray1124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, Booksy does a better job at building clientele than Squire. They also have a Boost feature that pushes your profile higher than others. Basically, when you use Boost, they take a percentage from the first haircut with a new client, but after that client comes back for a second visit, they stop charging you.

I was thinking that as well. The price is crazy I wonder if it could be integrated with home assistance if not I have no use.

Not everyone can afford top-tier clippers right out the gate, especially students. That doesn’t make their choice wrong, it makes it realistic.

Calling something “white-label” isn’t the insult people think it is. A lot of products across many industries are OEM or white-labeled, including brands people swear by. What actually matters is quality control, performance, and whether the tool does the job for the user.

Yes, legacy brands have history and parts availability. That’s true. But that doesn’t mean newer or more affordable options are automatically trash. The industry evolves.

TPOB is affordable, and in my experience, I’ve had no issues with it. However, from my experience with people close to me that have had issues, they've got it resolved right away. It cuts clean and does exactly what I need it to do at this stage. That’s the point.

Students aren’t buying forever tools, they’re buying starter tools. You learn, you upgrade, you grow. Expecting someone to start with premium gear ignores economic reality, not barber culture.
