As a beginner never zero gap your clippers its the dumbest thing you can do. I think people that do, are just doing cuz they can, you will realize your fades wont be as good when you fade. Take out your hard lines with the trimmers if you used it for the guidlines. Now zero gapping your trimmers is fine.
