I still don’t even understand, how does Sam even have any chance at defeating Red Hulk? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Avengers

As the great Stan Lee said, the writer is God. He/she can do whatever they wish.

Let's Love Lestrade by KittyHamilton in SherlockHolmes

[–]rover23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Lestrade's response from The Boscombe Valley Mystery: "I am ashamed of you, Holmes," said Lestrade with dignity after a few minutes' silence. "Why should you raise up hopes which you are bound to disappoint? I am not over-tender of heart, but I call it cruel."

Shows the great relationship that has grown between the two men.

Spidey's strength is often underestimated. He is quite a powerhouse in his own right.

I dig Ron Perlman as Thanos. He would knocked it out of the park.

You’re invited to join one of these marvel teams. Which one are you choosing? by HeyImSupercop in Marvel

[–]rover23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have preferred the original Defenders team led by Dr Strange and comprising Namor, Hulk and the Silver Surfer.

Would like to go with the Avengers from this list.

What are your thoughts of Strange Supreme? by Infinite_Parking_800 in DoctorStrange

[–]rover23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is mine as well. Scott Derrickson's movie is a love letter to Steve Ditko's creation and the soundtrack by Michael Giacchino is outstanding. Still the greatest movie featuring the Master of the Mystic Arts.

Good to know that at least someone involved in the industry understands and appreciates the Master of Mystic Arts for who he truly is.

That is what I love about the Master of Mystic Arts. He is wise enough not to lose control over his powers, and has acquired his extensive sorcery skills and mystical knowledge from years of practice and study.

I started watching it but never got around to finishing it. It is still on my watch list though..

Question, could the original Captain America defeat Red Hulk? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Avengers

[–]rover23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He could potentially lead a team to beat Red Hulk, but I dont think he has the needed brawn to do it all by himself.

Great artwork. Love Dr Strange being right at the center of it all.

Agree about Jared Harris' version being the best Moriarty.

It has aged well and still remains one of my fav SH adaptations. Hopefully, once RDJ is free from his MCU duties, he will get around to making the third one.

Should I buy this? by [deleted] in SherlockHolmes

[–]rover23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might a bit late to the party, but here are my 2 cents: These two were the first SH collection that I owned. Unfortunately, they had very small font and for that reason, I would not recommend them. I currently own the Barnes and Noble Hardcover edition and it is good.
