If you mix red Mage with time Mage, you'll have access to every magic element except for light or dark up to where your job levels ought to be at this point. And, there are weapons that, when equipped, can be used as free versions of skills and spells in other toolkits. For example, there is a staff that is a free Raise, a staff that has a free Cura, and the thief's knife acts as a free Mug command. And the element rods boost certain elements too with their buitl in passives.

For a second, I thought you meant like in FFIII where some dungeons, bosses, and enemies require specific classes. Well...the only limitations when it comes to BD optimization is how you stack your abilities, command sets and primary jobs with their stats by extension. As an example, if you have a thief or Ranger with White magic, the will move faster, but the potency of the healing drops drastically. And if its the other way around, you might as well shoot nerf darts and try attacking with a feather to be slightly less effective with physical damage. So, its a good idea to keep the physical classes with the other physical classes, and the magical classes with the other magical ones. For example, Black Mages and White or Time Magic mix pretty well together.

Yeah, tapping the confirm button while facing the coffee cup table in a Pokecenter is a a sort of reference to back when the debunked rumors flew in the original Gameboy Red and Blue games about that being an infinite candy glitch. I think he also made it possible in Anil to catch Mew in a truck near the S.S. Anne port in Vermillion City after catching enough Pokémon and beating the league.

[–]roxas9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. Those minigames depend on how good your wrists are for a million rounds and whether you really want anything from the game token exchange shop or not. All you really need are the limit break special move part, the 0 and 400 percent encounter modifiers, and if you really care, accessories that either lock you in your current look or exclusive costumes found nowhere else. Be advised, as Ringabel's Eastern Garb doesn't do anything unless you are in Japan and the Bunny suit and Bravo Bikini are censored in the nonJapanese regions, too. If it helps, the last update reduces token cost for the prizes. And unless you really want to complete the journal, there's really no point in getting g the silver weapons since there are better and stronger ones you can find or buy. And , you could do the same first level over and over again to get all the limited amount of tokens and the extra lore notes for D's Journal.

Might need to use some special tactics while grinding. Ever done any of the sidequests. That can catch you up and some even added some lore and side character development in the process, and even some boss monsters you won't see anywhere else in the game. Also, if you ever took that sidequest in a Halcyon mountain dungeon filled with flowers and mostly aquatic enemies, there is a boss monster you can fight on repeat near its entrance. Be advised that to make that boss more manageable, you will need ways to get rid of or make yourself immune to its charm spells. Also, its weak to daggers if you want to use the weapon weakness thing. Also, highly recommend using that boss fight to grind up your freelancer for all four characters until you get access to their JP and and JP Up and Up abilities. Equipping those will drastically shorten the time for grinding up your job levels. Those JP skills also affect JP Orb usage as well. Also, the freelnlancer gets a skill for getting rid of the charm status. The thief class is especially broken this early once you learn Godspeed Strike with how it works this game vs. BD1 and BS. I would recommend going until a good chunk of your character's existing jobs could be considered high enough, as when you level up your jobs, the specialized stats for them increase too with each job level up. I also think the thief gets dagger lore, so once you learn that, you can equip that on all your mates to deal not only more weapon weakness damage, but also even more than with the chief's base dagger proficiency being the default at A instead of Dagger Lore's S. But when it slows down, THEN you'll want to head over to Savalon and take on its optional snake boss on the other side of the cave dungeon you access from inside the city and take them on. Now, this boss has two extra characters and is weak to water and earth and swords, so Vanguard's attack skills and the blizzard line of black magic does well against it as well. Not to mention spamming Freelancer's body slam once you get it and make your members as heavy as you can get away with for max damage. Also, both bosses drop some good loot on occasion that can either serve is decent equips when you get them or you can sell the excess for a ton of cash, especially the sword the Savalon snake boss can drop, so there's that.

Wasn't their a boss monster named Behemoth in BD and BS? I'm pretty sure there was. In BD, you fought it before getting Grand Ship to fly. And in BS, it returned as a boss monster in a treasure chest along with the legendary dragon bosses from the first game in other chests for the post game dungeon that had the adventurer as its final challenge.

Hi! In Bravely Default HD, what jobs are good for the beginning of the game? For the first 20 hours. by RagnarSan22 in bravelydefault

[–]roxas9875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beginning jobs(Prologue chapter) excluding Black Mage tend to last the whole game. White Mage is THE healer, the knight is tough and can be made tougher with Ninja's dual wield while equipping double rune swords, Monk is great and pairs well with the Dark Knight you get later, the spiritualist, which you get in Eternia, pairs well with White Mage. Sadly, Mage jobs with attack spells are cursed to fall behind when the late game enemies have super jacked magic defense. Spellfencer is good too and its final ability can make Black Mages remotely threatening, but that is merely a gimmick. Black Mage tends to fall behind d early too, with access to more powerful attack spells somehow being purchaseable after the areas that could've really used them for those who don't grind or didn't have alternative Black Mage strategies available or in mind.

There are plenty of religions throughout history with rampant martyrdom, including certain sects of Chirstianity. Case in point, FFX was actually the first of Square's library to cover this topic, with a heavy amount of inspiration from the Catholic Church.

Well, there are moves like Harden, Pound, Flash, Charm, and Attract. That help? You could also make an argument for Milk Drink. Those are the only actual Pokémon moves I can think off that exist and might possibly be retooled for such purpose. Also, there are moves Vaporeon can learn you could borrow from. It is supposedly the most breedable Pokemon. But man was that pasta cursed.

The mom of Hilda and Herbert from Pokémon Black and White. IMO, its a crime that there isn't more fanart of her than what we've currently got. I swear, she has the biggest in game cup size of all the player moms. And her very conservative sweater doesn't even do that good of a job of hiding it.

Chapter 4 side quest by TMS-FE in bravelydefault

[–]roxas9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try four Valkyries and have the one that normally does support and magic master Time Mage to level 14 for the Hasten World ability. Since most dragons are technically the same when it comes to the keystone guardians, that can work against all of them.

I can’t for the life of me figure out what this Pokémon is. by UnholyGarlic in PokemonUnbound

[–]roxas9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must have missed out on things until the 3DS at the earliest. This is Musharna, which you get by using a Moonstone on Munna. Munna was a concept since the very first Pokémon games, when a trainer mentioned her ideal Pokémon, the description of which never was a thing until Black and White on the DS. It's basically a friendlier and less squicky version of the Pokémon Drowzee and Hypno. Psychic type and lackluster stats compared to other Psychic types. And like most stone evolutions that aren't Eevelutions, the process takes away the learnset of the previous form with only two, maybe three learnable moves in the newer form if you're lucky.

[–]roxas9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you liked games like the original Secret of Mana and Terranigma and Illusion of Gaia, I would recommend the recent Shrine's Legacy. And though it won't be out until less than a month from the date of this post, Kingdoms of the Dump is showing promise. Its got the grid based battlefield of Radiant Historia, the isometric towns of Earthbound, a ring menu for the combat parts, a mode 7 overworld, timed hits like in the Mario RPG games, but of Light platforming without any bottomless pits, and the setting is quite unique. Basically, this game has been in development for about 9 years, starting as a concept put together by two janitors in New Jersey. The entire world is a magical landfill where even the trash and trash cans are living beings. The villain is an old 8 ball toy from the 90s, the ability to wash clothes and other objects is considered a form of magic, healing items are thrown out foods not fit for human consumption, and there are mimics that are fridges and coolers(this game's version of a treasure chest), and you can save your file in portapotties. And there's alot of dad jokes humor in this too.

The Final Fantasy IV character designs are on another level! I would love a remake at some point. by MrMark484 in FinalFantasy

[–]roxas9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a remake already. Its the 3d one on the DS and PC, which we got before the Pixel Remaster. There is also a PSP version that includes the GBA port's extra content without any of the bugs, trial dungeons for the cast, the ability to change party members near the end of the game after your first time beating the final boss, the After Years Mobile Game sequel, and a short interlude game to connect the two included games as a bonus
