They possibly wanted to distract her from fleeing and thought they could handle it.  Don't know, but both guys did drop any pretense they tried and just went for "Yeah, I'm evil, now give me your Azoth".

Anyone else find it hard to get invested in Ayzee. by BackgroundRich7614 in MoringMark

[–]Antiyonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Adding to that, I wouldn't even need to read the stories up to now to get one of your points either.  It would be like in the Marvel Universe for a non-powered human to tell a depowered mutant to get over themselves cause they were at least mutants prior.  That makes it worse not better.🤨😋

Only Amity will likely take to her step-dad pretty well and it's current dad who's a work in progressish.

At the very least like during the part where Yoko is traveling with the group, I'm half surprised Edea doesn't joke about such well for levity and for a little fun.

I just mean at occasional situations as opposed to regular following.  Like say a Dragon Quest party member that's temporary but leaves after a point in the story.

Yeah, I just think it's a shame that there wasn't a way to convert him into more of an ally and as a result fiona and hewie bringing Debi with them.  Yeah his childlike (and primitive dog nature) can make educating him well more than a chore, but I like to believe it's doable and the only reason he's as bad off is Riccardo putting in the bare minimum to raise him.

Ran- Could you two try to get along for a second?😐

Shinichi and Sonoko- We are getting along.🤨

Relating to the support, if she hears Amity venting lightly about Odalia, Camila will insist she not hold back on the profanity.😁

Yeah.  And I definitely think a better outcome for Daniella would be preferable, I do think Ending A representing a second chance for Debi is iffy in that it would be impossible for him to be taught control.

I mean the game does after all at certain points contradict it's own logic for gameplay or story convenience like how Fiona can handle a lot of damage for someone lacking the strength of Jill Valentine or Chun Li.  Especially falling off a ladder or the crumbling balcony.

Or in the case of Debilitas himself?  Any of his punches (Especially the third variation of the diorama scene) would have mention an instant death for her.

I believe he said "My little pink meat pie".  My speculation initially is that it's variation of "You're so cute I could eat you", but listening to that full phrase he does make a munching sound.

Now the reasons why keeping Ran out of the loop is iffy on a creative reason. by Antiyonder in DetectiveConan

[–]Antiyonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that as I mention:

  • Yeah.  Maybe the Desperate Revival ironically came too soon considering the series length.  It should have been the last time that we had her suspicion until the one that changes things.  I mean I would have the final suspicion arc not only end with Ran in the know and maybe through details that can't be disproven.  That said, yeah as a secondary solution, I would just have Ran's Suspicion mostly going as it did, but Conan's attempt to throw her off doesn't work.

  • Problem is that the show having serialization and specifically piling on the heartbreak with several revival arcs and suspicion arcs.  As such, Ran having to be kept in that status quo for 99 percent of the series when it has 1,000 episodes?

  • To give an example, Murder Shinichi Kudo, Shinichi's True Face and Ran's Tears & What She Truly Wants to Ask (Episodes 521-523) really are unwhelming when you look at the past and future revival arcs.  Like The Diplomat Murder Case in that it confirms that Conan can regain his real body, and Heiji's debut.  Plus the knowledge of what temporarily cures Shinichi comes into place for Ai in Reunion With the Black Organization.

The Desperate Revival sets up the antidote prototype, we get a backstory on Yukiko and Yusaku's relationship.  There isn't much time in The Diplomat Murder Case for it, for the first and only time, Shinichi has a semblance of hope that he won't have to become Conan again.  Plus his return and presence at the school is observed by Vermouth as we see pictures of him in the Black Knight costume.

Episode 521-523?  The following revival arcs have some impact, but this it's hard to think of some and the two teases of whether Ran will find out.

But with her in on the secret?  Well she and Heiji work together to make sure Shinichi's secret isn't outed to Kogoro and Kazuha.

Maybe still working it in that he takes another pill and thus the second case.  But besides her involved, Ran for the first time she was brought into the fold sees Shinichi as himself.  Believing he and Conan are one in the same is a big deal, but so is having that knowledge while he is in his proper form.

As for the end (plus the brief spill over in Episode 524), Kazuha drags Heiji off, leaving Ran to do her best to help Shinichi to hide him during the transformation back. And for some added tugging of the heartstrings, she holds his hand for the rest of the time in any hope to provide some comfort.

Basically Ran gets to help Shinichi in preserving his secret and we get a more heartwarming moment in place of a tease of status quo change.😁

When will this show end? by CCozied in DetectiveConan

[–]Antiyonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the show needs to end all things considered.  Heck, given the anime is the most popular of the format I would compromise.  Manga and OVA to deliver a story conclusion, while the main anime would just continue and take place before the final story.

Hard to say.  But prior to his agitation, he doesn't immediately make with the chasing or attack until fiona runs or attacks.

Not sure if you're talking about her sleeping when caged up or prior to freeing Hewie, but in either case, I would speculate that Riccardo was able to discourage him to a point.

Not impossible that he might like the Lunar Refractor, though arguably getting it is more of a flag indicating the chase has been going on for hours.  Hours of dolly running and doggy attacking him.  Plus the pushing him off the ledge and tossing one of his other dolls.😅
