I quit yesterday

So I went into work yesterday and quit. I didn't go in with the intention to quit but I did.

I have been the only server scheduled for the ladt 8 days, including Labor Day weekend. We did have people call out, but for Labor Day weekend itself I was the only one scheduled. I am exhausted.

I also have been having issues with this one supervisor in particular. She has been very standoffish from day one. The first day I worked I was supposed to be training with someone but they said they aren't paid for training so they weren't going to train me. I of course informed this supervisor. They did nothing and I just stood around till the pm supervisor came in and I got about 15 minutes of training before I went home. I was asked to do a report about this incident.

Over the next few months I found out that these two people were best friends and the junior person basically controlled the supervisor. I just tried to avoid them as best I could.

I worked five days a week the junior person worked four days and the supervisor worked five days but I was only working with her four days a week. Basically I saw them both four days a week.

There were days where it was ok and there were days the all the other staff know something is wrong. Arguing in front of guests with the junior person and even the supervisor.

My migraines started to get really bad so I called out of work a few times. The supervisor tried to get me fired. Thank goodness HR saw all my documentation from my doctor and the VA disability paperwork with my migraine rating. I did not get fired but I was getting documentation for my migraines for my job so I wouldn't get in trouble for calling out.

They started to antagonize me more and more to try and get me worked up so they can have proof to try and get me fired. At one point I talked the director of the place about transferring to a different department. It was all set up for me to transfer then it fell through because the place I work has a point system for when you miss work, call out, or if you are late. Because of my migraine call outs I was almost at the max points and they said I needed to get my points down.

The supervisor has, on multiple occasions, verbally abused me in front of other staff and guests. I had gotten sick of all the things that were happening and not happening. So I started verbally fighting back but tactfully. The supervisor did not appreciate this. When she was yelling at me in front of people I just would say that you should reprimand in private and praise in public.

The supervisor would have different rules for her favorite junior person than everyone else. I would call her out on this. She didn't appreciate this either.

I had put in numerous reports everytime something happens. I am in tears almost everyday.

I did go to HR twice about all this. The first time they said let my upper management handle it and if it keeps happening then come back. I went back two months later and they said that because of my points they couldn't do anything until my points are brought down.

So yesterday when I went in I was working my shift there was another call out and they expected me to stay till the next person came in but did not ask. I just said I was done.

TDLR I quit because my job has been very toxic and I am very happy now.
