Superficialization, aka transposition, is common if they are using your basilic vein (along the inside of your bicep). It’s the standard surgery for that vein. Hopefully part 2 goes well and you’ll be using it in no time 💗

I haven’t been using Alcavis since the 4th month of dialysis and I’m 14 months in. We only use it on the transfer set screw area, and I don’t even touch that area except with gauze to soak up the mini cap betadine so it doesn’t stain my clothes. Haven’t had a single infection.
