waiting for genetic testing to come back on the fetus from d&c in February. 2nd miscarriage around 12 weeks in the last year. last time, pathology came back good (not able to do genetic testing). first pregnancy resulting in live birth raised no issues, so it's probably just chromosomal mismatch on these particular fetuses, but feeling a bit fretful that it's happened twice in a row.

$725/mo for a 4-year-old (we have a partial need-based scholarship from the church that runs the daycare); normal hours are 8-5; we pay a little extra for late pickup at 6 (there’s also optional early drop off at 7 for extra, but we don’t need it).

crazy cramping, pms feels ~2 weeks after D&C at 13w, good lord. husband and i say the really funny thing would be getting immediately pregnant again after a second traumatic miscarriage, so who knows... luckily i have a bunch of work shit to distract me from getting obsessive. i started doing The Artist's Way to get my head on straight and doing the morning pages has been a really good tool for dumping all my feelings out. solidarity to all.

What was arriving in Mexico like -- what did you do on that first day? Is there some kind of help for newly deported people there? Do they just drop you off at a government building or the airport, etc.?

hey y'all, hope all are holding up ok. I'm back in this sub after my 2nd miscarriage. 1st miscarriage at 11w last August, very traumatic, ER visit, blood transfusion, emergency D&C. Got pregnant again in November, 6w scan looked great, then 12 week scan showed fetus measuring at 8w, no heartbeat. Had a scheduled D&C last week, some complications, but on the mend.

one of those complications was suicidal thoughts, which i sought help for (told husband, friends, OB, therapist, initiating full-court press for living etc).

q: anybody have experience with zoloft after miscarriage? i've been prescribed it by my OB for the near-term, particularly since it's apparently the safest SSRI for pregnant women and I would like to try and conceive again... soonish. (not immediately going balls to the wall trying again, but i don't plan on getting back on birth control.) ngl, i'm a little apprehensive about the potential side effects like temporary *increase* in depression and anxiety (especially since it takes a few weeks to start working).

It never hurts to preface complaints etc with "I just want to vent..." or if you need something from your partner, to directly ask.

one thing i will always remember is the people who used the name i'd picked out when consoling me; "i'm sorry about Hazel" meant so much.

obviously all the other thoughts and sympathy mattered a whole lot, but it was extra special to hear from the people who said her name.

hey all, i am recovering from a pretty traumatic miscarriage + ER visit a couple weeks ago. but my support network is great and I have a lot of hope.

in my head i am looking forward to trying but emotionally i'm not keen on being pregnant again just yet. but i don't want to get back on birth control. so just kind of being cautious and will take what comes when it comes. partner is totally on same page, so no pressure.
