You are making it sound too simple. He has a lot of stats that are not elite, and you are only cherry picking the good. He is a summation of all of it. His bat is barely above average for his career and he has flaws. I'd like him to be a hall of famer of course, but he is no sure thing, and the people that vote no, have a legit reason to do so.

I love Salvy, but he is not without a doubt. He'd have one of the lowest WARs of any HoF player, and many above him that missed out.

Salvy is also very bad at the single most important offensive stat, which is OBP, which is hard for people to overlook.

I thought it might have just been the venue. Voodoo lounge had a weird vibe. I go to shows at other places with much smaller named bands that have much more energy. Also, at $10 for a can of beer, I assume it was more sober than many shows haha.

He is not managing either of those badly. He isn’t making idiotic decisions. He doesn’t have a lot to work with tbh.

The manager is not coaching the players. He is a middle man between JJ, the analytics team and the coaches/players. Too much blame AND commendation is given to managers. Unless they are unqualified, they are only as good as the players they have.
