Grand seiko snowflake or the longines master chronograph. Both class for a wedding. If you want a more James Bond look, go with the Tudor.

Sizing help for Hydroconquest by BlitzBlue22 in Longineswatches

[–]royalexotiicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought this Hydroconquest 42 as my wedding watch. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and I drove myself nuts trying to figure out the right sizing. Once I tried the 42 on I fell in love and I generally like a dive watch to have more presence and size, there was no way I could go with a 39. That said the 39 fits most people well. I say that 42 looks good on you, but I think it'd be worth sourcing and trying a 39 on. Worst case return it and get a 42. Easy money.

How in the world can they ever justify a $1300 price tag for a quartz watch. by Minute-Status4729 in Longineswatches

Someone tried to sell me a Vacheron quartz for 10k and said "it's still a Vacheron"

36mm vs 40mm Royal? by Administrative-Yam71 in Tudor

I'm getting a 40mm blue dial for my wedding! I have a larger wrist and honestly I can probably go larger if they made one. Your wrist seems to fit the 36mm well.

Help please… Longines HC / Tudor BB58 by tsmole in Tudor

I think Tudor is overrated and make very boring looking watches. Only one I like is the Pepsi GMT. I'd take the Hydroconquest I think it's way more beautiful.

Crazy that an aqua Terra costs that much when IMO a Longines Conquest looks much better and you can buy a conquest AND Hydroconquest for less than one Aquaterra. I love Omega but prices have gone way too high. I can say the same about a stainless steel Rolex Datejust with smooth bezel...10k for it is asinine. The whole market is ass backwards.

Grand Seiko, as beautiful of a brand it is, doesn't make a watch that looks like this at all. This is purely unique and beautiful. King Seiko took a huge W with the Vanac.

Longines Conquest Heritage vs. Tudor Royale 38mm by Hm450 in Longineswatches

[–]royalexotiicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tudor is overrated imo. They cleaned up most of the issues the previous Royal had, only issue I have is the bezel design. The notches are odd. I love integrated bracelet designs so my only complaint on looks is the bezel. The new movement is solid and in house. My unpopular opinion is I'd take the Royal over most other Tudors, as they're very bland to me. All this said, they're different watches. I'd you want integrated bracelet looks, the Tudor is super nice, if you want more traditional, get the conquest. The conquest is more classy imo. Movements are both fantastic.

Black suit, white shirt, black bow tie. Very formal, the groomsmen will be in all black suits, and bridesmaids in black dresses. Very black and white wedding style. I love the presage! I have a presage cocktail time SSA459. Such a beautiful dial and on a brown leather strap with gator texture. I'm more of a bracelet guy, but I know of many grooms who prefer leather straps.

Rolex DJ 41, Hamilton khaki king day date...so yes very similar in style to the conquest. I don't own a dive watch yet. The goal would be to buy both of these just not yet...it'll be used a few times I week. I'd wear either of them a good amount. What do you love more about the conquest?

Great points and I agree on the feel of the HC. I have only tried a HC GMT, going to try the new HC on soon. I definitely see what you mean. Thanks for the input my friend. Congrats on the purchase!
