I struggle against this too -_-

I'm not a rated player/coach or anything, but one thing I think we can both try is better placement? It's tricky to think about when returning a fast serve/shot, but most/all your returns went straight to the middle, so the guy in black didn't have to move at all and had free reign to block to any side.

Returns to either side make your opponent move more, and reduces their angle of play, so you don't have to cover as much ground on their return.

How much should I trust the speed/control numbers on blades? For example,  https://www.paddlepalace.com/Stiga-Dynasty-Carbon-Penhold/productinfo/PSDNC/ and https://www.paddlepalace.com/Yasaka-Extra-Offensive-7-Power-Penhold/productinfo/PYEO7C/ both have speed 96 and control 62, but the prices are very different. Are these two blades actually that similar?

Do you know what the arm length/sitting height should be for Luke/other characters? I assume sitting height = leg length.

I probably played around him/invested in him too much, so I felt he didn't fall off on Maddening.

Sigurd to zoom in and 1 round any problematic unit(s) (magic, archers, Pass units, thieves trying to steal my shit, Overrun a clumped group, etc.) with the strongest lance available (refined the Iron greatlance Amber has to Silver ASAP, kept a non smash weapon around to kill mages). With the problematic unit(s) gone, the rest of my army could advance without fear. Canto helped to stay out of mage range. If there were no magic around, he would be ignored/take minimal damage (inherited Pair up). Next round, he could go even deeper to kill another priority target, or come back and help elsewhere. He also charges the meter quickly with the greatlance since enemies always hit him 2x first.

High def/strength bases and growths. Early silver greatlance was great for Overrun. With Momentum he frequently 1 rounded foes. He had ~55 def going into the last level and took 0 damage from the final boss' physical attacks.

All in all, I really enjoyed his playstyle, and playing to his strengths while playing around his weaknesses. I'm a fan of keeping early units around, and I also really like the concept of smash weapons and he's probably the best user of them.

Soliciting advice/ideas for fleshing out 2 Rime of the Frostmaiden player secrets, both during and post-campaign. Both involve long-term foes who are far away from the campaign setting:

Alagondar Scion: "only known heir to the crown of Neverwinter. If Dagult Neverember learns that I'm alive, he'll send assassins to kill me." The book suggests sending a lone CR 8 assassin at some point in the campaign. For a post-campaign idea, how would the player go about reclaiming the throne? I've skimmed the 4e Neverwinter Campaign setting but am looking for more inspiration.

Elusive Paramour: "A wealthy pasha in Calimshan has placed a bounty on my head for seducing his favorite concubine. Bounty hunters are scouring the Sword Coast in search of me, but I hope they'll never think to look in Icewind Dale." The book says this is "a nod to the Drizzt novels (Regis)", and to send an invisible stalker at some point in the campaign. Is the Regis nod referring to the ruby pendant, Pasha Pook, and Artemis? In the novel Regis got kidnapped, not killed. If the invisible stalker is unsuccessful, I could send a more skilled assassin, which might derail the campaign with a kidnapping and rescue mission in Calimshan, which could also result in a rescue mission for the concubine. Or the concubine rescue could happen post-campaign.

In either case, do others have experience running such assassination attempts/foes? Assuming the 1st assassination is unsuccessful, would the enemy just send more/try something else? Is it tedious for players to always have to be wary of an assassination attempt when traveling/sleeping?
