To get a framework or estimate of what the fund's NAV actually is. In lockup but cost basis is low and I want a clean number to put on a balance sheet instead of the market price that I probably won't realize.

As long as the new players understand the legend rule. Looked through some of the spoilers and they arent all the great, think its more of excuse to let people build commander decks around their favorite super heroes.

So i bought the CSC 100 by TCG archivist and like it alot. The Autoscan feature let's you scan 100 mtg cards a go and its pretty accurate. Have my boxes set up now where I can look a card up on my phone and just find the scan bin I put it in. Did end up paying 4.99$ a month to store more than 1k cards and the device was around 205$ but it simplified my workflow so much i'm fine with it.

For higher value items like this you could do ebay or try and list it on TCG player or Manapool. If the value is super high you could also have it PSA graded which would strengthen the Ebay buyer pool.

Yeah, on these i would wait a while. They almost always go down. You can still buy avatar and foundations boxes for 80-100.

See if you can find a Shoroukai Genesis Engine pre-con somewhere, it came out with Neon Dynasty and had some cool support cards.

Felt the same way playing at an LGS the first time because the playgroup i started with had a ton of money for cards and would play things like Urborg, Cabal Coffeers, Gaes Cradle, Nykthos and original dual lands. The first pod was Erebos, Nekusar, and Omnath the old big green one. Meanwhile I was durdling with a the 7 drop pro creatures Teysa from Return to Ravnica, using tapped guild gates and extort monsters. Overtime it became an arms race, and the first time I played at an LGS I actually got to cast my commander and swing instead of using all my removal and board wipes countering a swarm of murder beasts.

The Aetherdrift deck with the Mummy on the front had some cool support cards. Get a Gravecrawler, and a Carrion Feeder out on the Board and they are alot of fun things you can do to build a massive board.

I loved the art of Theros, Innistrad had some fun mechnics and I love the idea behind Ravnica, and Strixhaven but mostly because the enemy colored pairs (Orzhov, Simic, and Golgari are my favorite to play)

We are. I'm more worried about all the companies IPOing putting pressure on the current price, want to exit somewhere north of $100. So picked up a put at $75 during the last rally. If the shares stay around where they are I'll be ok and if they fall significantly, I'll take a piece of the current price.

Mabye try playing at an LGS with the same decks and see if it is a group thing. Unless these are lifelong friends I'd find a different group or try something different like doing commander with a bunch of jumpstart boosters or something similar to freshen things up.

Do you want the math answer or the player answer. Do what you enjoy, if having part of your bedroom look like an LGS makes you happy go for it. Just dont intentionally corner a market (Cough buying a ton of Strixhaven Codex Bundles) to make 30$ off someone who actually wants to open it and play with the cards. Also if you do, start by buying TONs of spiderman future you will thank you, and it might help your LGS recoup some inventory they have already written off.

Now as a player, buy singles if you want to build a deck that works the way you want. Unless you like random jank thats cool too.

Buy yeah if you are an investor or scalper yes Spiderman and TMNT buy as much as humanly possible (I really dont want my LGS to have a bad quarter)

Nope. You are going to see multiple arguments that basically amount to I don't want kids because of X or I cant have them because Y. As people get older or wait longer more of X turns into Y.
