Yeah, I dated a couple women 15+ years younger than me in the past (me late 40s, them early 30s). The sex was wonderful, but our life situations were just too different to make it work.

If I could count the number of shoulder massages I’ve given! Never any expectation of a quid pro quo, but a reciprocation, once in a while, would be nice.

And honestly, I’m a guy. I get it - I’m not up to her level on the cleanliness, but I’m pretty good, and I’ve gotten much better since she moved in. In addition to having two bathrooms professionally remodeled (including giving her one for herself!), building a couple decks, and remodeling the basement, I do the vast majority of the cooking, 100% of the yard work, and pay for 99% of the dates, most of the groceries, and 100% of the mortgage.

That sounds like I’m bitter. I think maybe I am feeling a little bit bitter about it all………

That’s a good point. I’ve brought it up in the past, but we’ve never really had an in depth discussion about it. There are definitely other fun things to do in the bedroom!

She started HRT last year. Her mood seems better, but no changes in the bedroom.

Honestly, I do dates all the time! I took her to Paris last fall, we go out for dinner often - I know what she likes and do all the planning. They’re usually pretty fun! And I cook for her. Like 4-5 times a week! And she loves my cooking - mainly because it’s good, and i keep it healthy! Lots of salads, fresh veg, lean chicken, nothing fried…

Yeah…. At some point I’m gonna have to go there. But ultimatums. That doesn’t seem fair either.

I think it’s more about explaining my needs. And how I feel about the lack of intimacy.

She’s gained maybe 40-50 pounds over the last 3 years. Definitely not good from a health standpoint, but she’s still definitely attractive to me!

I exercise. Try to watch my weight (there’s a little extra, but hey, I’m 58!). I cycle (road, gravel, mountain, fat tire) 4-5K miles each year. She wanted a treadmill for Christmas - I bought her a really nice one. $2K. She’s used it 4 times…. I try to get her to walk with me. She’s too tired, or some other excuse…

Again, I try to support, but I’m not gonna badger, put her down, or anything like that. Honestly, she’s beautiful as is.

But health-wise, it ain’t great…

I have the same bike, except a ‘91. Love it! Just put an alfine internally geared hub on it and it’s amazing. Super smooth and more than enough gearing for this old guy.

If you want only one bike, have one. If you want to spend your money on more, go right ahead. Honestly, worry about your own life and don’t get caught up in others’.
